Funny, i had the same dream when i was 20 yrs old. The guy i fought never backs down nor have fear his eyes, of course i fear no man, since my father always tells me that fear is an imitation of mind, everyone have fears, animals have fear, wild beasts have fear so in order to overcome that fear you must become their fear and insert dominance,. But the problem with that person is that he has none of those, no fear, no emotion, like a doll, yet i can see his fierce eyes telling me that he will kill me, it was the first time i feared a man, but its quite ecstasy of excitement for the Man to put me in a state. So we fought to death, since i only know basic kendo and iado techniques, and a little boxing and jui jitsu, i was confident i will win, but he was like my nemesis, even all of my skills put to the test, i cant beat him. We were exhausted after a few hours of killing one another, the thrill to put yourself in the line of life and death. At the Eve of our fight he stopped and laugh, he says to me this,. "You, really are strong, i must say, even the basic principles of fighting, you can still survive." As he laugh he also said this "You and me are destined to fight forever, whatever timelines or lifetimes, we will fight forever and you can never beat me, since i am You, be seeing you then Carl". And there i woke up, full of sweats and my blood was pumping like hell as i smile. The problem of this dream is like none of any other dreams, we dream and after we wake up we cant remember almost half of we dreamt, but this dream feels so real and even after 3 years i can still remember his words and moments inflicted in my mind. I think i fought the best version of me and that is my true fear. You can never beat and best fear, even if you can overcome it, its still there but one thing for sure, to face your fears is to become fear and learn how to control your fear since humans will always be coded with this kind of feelings and emotions.

Man this fight is arguably the best fight in season 1, if not in the entire series (anime, manga, LN and the entire Sword Oratoria series included), atleast in my opinion. No flashy moves, teamwork crap or unnecessary drama, just pure 1v1 with everything on the line. For me, this fight easily tops the one against Asterios in S3, Juggernaut in S4 or the one against Ottar in LN vol. 18. Simply amazing
This never gets old for me. Loved the way how they made the sword oratario filled the gaps in S1 like how bell reached to surface after this fight and where the sword used by bell to defeat boss on floor 19 came from and other such bits.🙂
I love that this fight isn't just spectacle its what defines Bell. Yes he could run and escape easily but he doesn't because he knows there's others at risk even if he thinks it means death for him. Not only does he surpass his own limits he encourages the Loki familiar and puts hope and courage in their hearts even tho they're much stronger than him.
I just got done watching sword onario (idk if that’s how it’s spelled) and I thought it was cool how when Loki familia were struggling against a powerful foe, it was respect/competition of Bell that pushed them to victory

It's been over a year but this scene remains one of my all time favorite fight sequences. It's so well done, the animation, the cinematography, the pacing, it was excellent! Still hoping for a season 2!
Remember seeing this for the first time several years ago and thought it was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Still one of the greatest moments in anime history. Bell Cranel one of the best heroes to date.
@@Legozanman With the sword, yes. Knife vs a great sword - it would be a short fight. Parrying daggers (which are longer than knives) are more appropriate against a weapon like Aiz's sidesword. And the icepick/reverse grip is just a really bad idea in anything but a close quarter/bar brawl.

"Jason and the Argonauts" was a movie that came out in 1963 and is amazing for it's age. I first watched it with my father in the 80's and along with Clash of the Titans (the original from 1981) it sparked my lifelong interest in Greek mythology.
It shows if u have guts and determination to face your fears and problems head on you will surprise yourself of what your capabilities is when you remove doubt and just believe. Have seen this fight about 30 times never gets old
one of the greatest fights for me. not because it's like got spectacular choreo, or animation, or super powers or anything. just the emotional impact of this fight was spectacular. the incredible character growth on display here was fantastic. also the music hits soooo well. this, for me, is right up there with demon slayer where tanjiro fights the lower moon spider demon and first does the hinokami kagura dance.
The scene that got me hooked… I remember the week this came out I watched it at least 10 times & I still rewatch it to this day. Really set the tone for DanMachi.

The fact that he managed to stand up and say no despite the fact that he got beat as crap in the first part reminds me of Ikki in Chivalry of a Failed Knight. They both had PTSD from a previous fight with the same enemy, got the crap beat out of them. Had the girl they were crushing on give them a form of inspiration (Aiz standing in front of him like, I'll protect you/Stella yelling, "What the hell are you doing looking so glum, you idiot?!") And then proceeded to wreck their opponent's day. Like, dude. What gives?
What's interesting is that that minotaur turned to glowing white dust instead of the usual dark one, if I remember correctly. And it's the same minotaur (SPOILERS) that gained sentience calling himself Asteris if I remember correctly.
Its kinda fitting that asterius lost his Right arm, TWICE. First with bell (Its not really lost just become unusable)then with Aiz when on the surface.
Fun Fact after the fight it wasnt Riveria who told the others about Bell´s "all S skills" it was Aiz who had to tell them. because Riveria couldn´t stop laughting after seeing his AGI being SS.

What's interesting is that that minotaur turned to glowing white dust instead of the usual dark one, if I remember correctly. And it's the same minotaur (SPOILERS) that gained sentience calling himself Asteris if I remember correctly.
