- What a surprise. A full voiced story of the What-If written by Omori as part of the 3rd Anniversary event Astrea Record. A what-if scenario where Bell was raised by Zard and Alfia along with his grandpa. What if they didn't go with Erebus and did the deed on Orario. What if Bell had other people raising him aside from Zeus. It's a scenario far removed from the main story but it's a tale worth knowing.

If Alfia could see Bell Cranel now. I think she would be so proud of him.
She’d Probably scold him on some occasions but she would undoubtedly love him as she would have her own sister

This version of bell would probably be op but reasonable due to his training with Alfia and Zard.
This gonna change how Bell growth for example while he still can get some of his old skill like Firebolt, he get new battle style like using sword rather than a dagger, but he gonna lost some of his important skill like Escape because he's already polished and trained by them (Alfia and Zald) and less 'ignorant' about monster and dungeon so the change he run away from battle became lower and there's is very high change one of most important skill, Liaris Freese, he have will never appear because rather than Ais, he more inspired by his foster parent

@@lavenkaser training doesnt mean he will be fearless. I mean I kinda write my version of the "what if story" in the comments. What I think is like Naruto What if stories, story itself wouldnt have changed much.
For Example no matter how well trained you are a new level one cant beat a minotaur so in the first minotaur incident he would probably run away again since he didnt face real danger since Alfia and Zald despite being harsh would have saved him or stop themselves from hurting him in a life threatening situation(I mean he will know despite how bad he is hurt he will live). but minotaur is stronger than him and wants to kill him(He will seriously die not just pain his life will end). Only reason he beat the minotaur in the first place is because of his S and SS abilities thanks to his skill. Even with them he was weaker than minotaur so first minotaur incident would be similar and resulted in a similar fashion. Well that is What I believe.
@@lavenkaser He got Firebolt by reading a grimoire left by Freya so this version of Bell wont learn it unless this version of Freya becomes attracted to him and gives him the grimoire again
@@bugrahanmehmetkarakelle8817 Magic obtained from a grimoire depends of the same as the rest: the beliefs, desires, personality, fighting style of the user and most likely it's magic affinity. That grimoire is not containing the spell Firebolt, it's awaken magic potential within bell and he's got Firebolt. There's a case a grimoire not giving any spell because the user not having any magic slot available and/or not having any magic slot to begin with (unsure about this because some people say at least every person with falna have 1magic slot, and some say none) and became wasted. There's a way to increased magic slot up to 3 but never more than that.

This version of bell would be helluva OP Alfia and Zald might even pressure zeus to put a Falna on him to boost his growth
Even without his rapid growth skill, by the time the series actually started he wouldn't even need it. Assuming Alfia didn't kill him before he got that far because let's face it, there's only a fifty percent chance he'd live through the training she'd put him through.
Seeing this makes me sad as this could have happened but unfortunately didn't
Its a backstory that would make the fact Bells grows at a ridicolous rate more reasonable

You know the thing about Alfia and Zald that I most regret is not their death but it is that they didnt see Bell becoming a Hero.
If this was a what if story, I believe like Naruto what if stories, it would not change much from original. Only world would be more peacefull world like nobody you loved is death or so. that is why I kinda wish to know what happens next in this what if scenario
My story is that Bell will be trained by Zald and Alfia. He then will travel to Orario to find a familia since Zeus is banished. But this time thanks to the training he received from Zald and Alfia he is actually scouted by many familias but he cant decide. Then he sees sad and lonely Hestia, remembers his grandfathers words to help girls in trouble which makes him want to help her. He then enters her familia than dives into the dungeon. In dungeon minatour incident happens. Bell despite being well trained gets scared in the face of real danger from now on I will make two different scenarios.
One like the original Ais saves her and he falls in love with her and gets his skill Liaris Freese.
Other Since Evilus didnt even get to shine it is plucked by Astraea Familia. Everybody in Astraea family is safe and they act like the police force in the Orario. So in the Minatour incident rather than Loki familia Astraea familia comes to rescue and Bell is saved by none other than Ryuu. He falls in love with Ryuu instead and gets his skill Liaris Freese.
Story than goes on without changing much but we see Zald and Alfia learning the news on Bell reaching level 2,3,4 and 5 in a year. Baffled by these news they decide to visit Bell to see how well he is doing. they visit orario in disguise and go to Hestia Familia home. All the Girls learn that she is Bells surrogate mother and they try to impress her. As his mother Alfia takes to role of final boss for the girls that are in love with Bell and tries to test them(Author say that Alfia would have managed to live longer if she had decided to go with Bell thanks to "mother power", and would have become a "final boss" for his suitresses). Even all of them together she obliterates them. than we turn to Zald and Bell where Zald tries to test how much Bell grown. They fight and he is in awe with how much Bell is grown not just in level but in strategy, fighting prowess and his over-level power thanks to his SS and SSS abilities. He beats Bell but with a close call. Both Alfia and Zald are amazed at Bells growth and they are proud to call themselves his family. Hearing this Bells is filled with happiness and pride.
then story goes on and finally they join the fight with the one-eyed black dragon, they see Bell beating one-eyed black dragon and Becoming the last Hero. Than they die peacefully knowing they raised that hero leaving Bell in the hands of his friends.
Either way I just wish both Alfia and Zald saw this "Twilight Dream" in their last moments at least.
@ABCZ ZC I mean Of course not 100 percent same but still he would got his aspiration along with determination. He would have got a skill like LF from earlier tho if he gets his falna later on like I said that skill will appear much later on than training. Like He will get a skill like hero's determination or something that almost has same effects as LF. Like I said Alfia and Zald probably let him gain his falna himself as a rite of passage. Finn from Loki familia trained years under a monk before getting his falna. so people can train before getting their falna. But the idea of Bell trained by Zald and Alfia itself makes me happy.

Hey what If this is Not a Dreams but a Memory of Bells childhood. Maybe Alfia and Zald moved in with Zeus raised Bell together and then after this Event changed their minds, erased Bells Memorys and went with Erebus knowing he would be a Hero one day. And now His Memorys are returning

In the canon timeline, Alfia went to Orario and joined Evilus. She became a terrorist monster running around blowing the place up. She did this specifically so that heroes capable of beating her (and Zald) would rise; if people couldn't beat her and Zald, then they'd have no chance of taking down the OEBD that had destroyed Zeus and Hera Familias. She actually had utter contempt for the other members of Evilus, who were genuinely psycho wackjobs. She deliberately sacrificed her reputation and legacy to give the world a fighting chance.
In this AU, Alfia would've done that, but laying eyes on Bell, her only living relative and the last legacy of her sister, overrode any thoughts of Great Deeds and Martyrdom. Screw the fate of the world, I wanna be a Mom. She acknowledges that the world's probably screwed, but she's chosen Bell. Then Bell tells her that he'll be a hero if she thinks there needs to be one.

(A quote from a certain fantasy book that nicely describes why I think Alfia's canon decision to "create heroes by becoming a villain" was pointless folly. This doesn't mean I dislike her as a character - simply that I think her worldview was tragically flawed).
@@ColesignNot that I wanna defend her or anything but the way I see it, she and Zard are rather desperate, and well we can't blame them, the OEBD is set to awaken and there's nothing that can stop it, if the strongest Familia don't stand a chance, then they'll do the next thing. If it means for further growth of Orario, they are willing to disgrace themselves.
But alas, like you said it's quite useless since it's Bell who will be the one who will eventually slay it anyway
