Sean was great! It is easy to see how much Dennis has touched his life as well. I understood completely when Sean commented on listening to Dennis give his take on current events. The last four years especially had me feeling like common sense was only common in a fringe of the population. Listening to Dennis always gives me hope and brings levity to these chaotic times in which we live. Thank you for all you do Julie!
FABULOUS show. The outpouring of love for Dennis is obvious, heart warming and deserved. Sean, you are as articulate, bright and pleasant as suspected by your "pop-up" images in previous D & J episodes. Some day, and we are all praying that it is MANY YEARS from now, when Dennis calls it a career, the logical sequel to these podcasts would be "Julie and Sean." Today you mentioned so many of Dennis' varied accomplishments and likes, including the rational bible series, fountain pens, speaking engagements, stereo equipment, and more. I also love that he conducts orchestras - something that I enjoyed doing through college, so I know the rush that he feels from doing that. He conveys those feelings perfectly to his listeners. He's even talked over the years about how he likes bowling, Talk about variety! I often ask my wife how in the world one person can do as much as Dennis does - oh and let's not forget his listener cruises and travel to about a zillion countries around the world. It is truly a marvel. Thank you for this show, Julie and Sean, and continued prayers and love are sent to Dennis.
Man, I thought it was tough when his show went to two hours from three! Some may say that it’s “just a radio show”, but my life ain’t the same without this guy. Been listening since ‘94. Heading to church in an hour and will continue to pray for Dennis.
Thank you for visiting Dennis in the hospital, Julie! He deserves it. Never let him be alone.. he speaks so ill of loneliness, which means HE also must be affected by it. I love him and wish him well and healing. God please.
I love Sean. Gosh, I don't think a day has gone by without me randomly thinking about Dennis multiple times. I miss listening to him. I've gone back and listened to some of the old shows just to fill that hole. I have a whole ceremony I do before listening to new D&J episodes and I miss it. This is the one show I watch regularly where I feel like I actually learn something valuable. This whole situation made me think what a day without Dennis might be like (and I pray it won't come for many more years, and that he makes a full recovery). I realized how grateful I am for all the lessons and wisdom he's left us and going to leave us in the future. I know he's helped me become a better person.
Pls keep going with D&J, Julie! Miss Dennis so much and will keep praying for him🙏🏻. Until he returns, I feel this is a much needed connection to the both of you!
17:04 I’d like to think that Dennis has found a way to make this situation a positive one. For what little time I’ve been listening to him he always seems to be positive in every way possible. One of the blessings/attributes I take away from the show.
I like Sean, keep you and Dennis out of not getting into too much trouble, a little trouble is good, Thank you Sean “Triple G” McConnell for all your hard work with Dennis and Julie.
Loved this episode. Loved the stories you and Sean shared and loved hearing the listeners’ msgs. More of this would be great while Dennis is healing. Very touching.
Dennis is an amazing character! I only found him about 3 years ago and so wish I had sooner. I’ve learned a tremendous amount from him and he’s taught me to me that despair is a sin and I try to find happiness, even if it’s just a memory, each day. Prayers continue from NC. God bless him, and all of you who miss him at work. I can feel your pain. Julie, you are a remarkable young woman and I know he is so proud of your daily growth! “Seansie,“ you have been blessed to be able to work with him all these years. He no doubt has shaped you, as well. Love you all!❤
This is a message to Sean (Shawn) I really enjoy the trilogy of Dennis, Julie and you. I am 63, and weigh 300lbs. Unfortunately for me I have so badly damaged my body, there's no more 'chances' No one wants to be preached to Sean. I won't do that. I will say with certainty that Dennis would take such a positive boost if the Sean he loves...........lives. May God bless you all.
I have met Dennis and had lunch with him at the Torah Minyan many times, Dennis is like an older brother and he means more to me than I can say. He is in my prayers daily, and in my thoughts often. Please, Ms. Julie, if you choose to read to him my message tell him I take it back, the message on that can of ale I once gave him on his birthday is not true, he is not either (Miry has my number if you want that explained). We miss you Dennis, we love you and I count knowing you among the greatest blessings of my life. I look forward to the day I once again get to see your face. May your refuah shlema come sooner than anyone expects. Please tell Sue that we love her too, we hope she's doing well, and Aaron, and Dennis's entire family that they are all irreplaceable. When next I see him, I'll bring him a cigar and not a can of Ale.
Precious, precious Dennis. You are in my heart and in my prayers. I wanted to share with you my favorite Psalm, the seventy-third: “My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.” I am praying that this terrible time of being laid aside on a bed of affliction could be a time that God comes closer to you and more real to you than He has ever been in your whole life. Right now I am listening through your Gospel seminar with Dr. Peterson and incredibly blessed by that. You’ve helped me, a Christian, understand the religious Jewish perspective and correct many wrong things I thought. You truly have your own relationship with God. Jehovah Rapha.
70 years ago my Father had a herniated disk in his neck from an auto accident. Thank God surgery and medicine has made many advances since that time,so I hope Dennis will get the best treatment and be able over time to make a complete recovery. We still don`t know the circumstances around his accident. My Father was stopped at a red light and was struck from behind by a truck.
When I would take my Mother to the Doctor, I would take Dennis's Rational Bible with me to read while I wait, I can't believe all the people wanting to know what I was reading, many took pictures of the cover, maybe wanting to buy their own copy. Please get well, America and The World needs your wisdom.
I had the opposite political journey to you Julie -I was a conservative (when I listened every day to Dennis); I'm now in-between being a leftist and a liberal, but nevertheless hoping and praying for Dennis's fulsome recovery.
I am going thru a very difficult time and sadness but hearing that Dennis is still Dennis is encouraging…As Dennis heals my prayers are with him and I know with his positive attitude and knowing that we all need him, he will come through this and be back to encourage and breakdown the difficult to understand so we can understand. I am reading his commentary on Numbers and saying prayers for his continued progress and healing. 🙏🏻💌
Dennis- i’m continuing to pray for a complete recovery for you. Also my prayer is that you will learn what God wants you to learn as you go through this trial. Julie and Sean- as you talk about Dennis, please keep your language in the present. Several times you referred to him in the past as if he is dead. Processing out loud is very good for you and all of us. But it’s not yet time for a eulogy!
39:28 I mostly listen to the show in podcast form. When listening you hear how energetic Dennis is. He takes advantage of every opportunity, every moment. Again a blessing.
46:49 “suffering, setbacks and hardships is a part of life.” In my life that wasn’t taught and it’s been one of my biggest struggles in life. It’s only now that I’m realizing that and I’m trying to teach this old dog new tricks. That’s where Dennis has come in.
Your show's background music reminds me of the late night radio show, " Coast to Coast"s music. Dennis philosophical words are thought-provoking. I pray for Dennis and his healing. I listen to the two shows in the morning before I go to sleep because I want to program my dreams to be edifying to the spirit. For 24 years, I have worked the 3rd shift, and I usually listen to praise music before I sleep. Philippians Chapter four verse eight. Think about uplifting righteous things....
23:29 “That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9
25:14 I think what brought me to Dennis’s show was a comment he made. I can’t remember what show he was on but he said something along the lines of Christians brought the world to the Torah.
I often think and pray for Dennis, and you , and his family and the wider Prager media family. I know people keep asking for more information. It helps us to pray more specifically, and to combat rumors and speculations. For instance, I heard he slipped in the shower. True? I heard he had pneumonia. That can happen to hospitalized people on a ventilator. True? Is there paralysis? We're not being snoopy. We ask out of love and concern.
Maybe one day you can do a show from his hospital bed! It would be like old times when you did it from your room on campus. I watch another show (Christian) & one of the gentlemen had an accident of some kind & was doing the monthly show from bed. These days I think he is in a recliner chair.
24:18 ok I mean no disrespect and with all sincerity Dennis is the only Jewish person I kinda know. He’s one of the reasons I started studying the Old Testament. I often think how blessed you are Julie that you get to attend Shabbat dinner. I think what better way to get closer to Christ than to do what Jesus does? One day I hope to get invited and attend a Shabbat dinner.
22:00 they are trying to rewrite history. This is why I think the printing of the Bible is so important. If and when some catastrophic thing happens what humanity is left will still have Gods Word. I pray for all humanity, God have mercy on us. 🙏
Good show! May God bless you and keep you all
Prayers for Dennis! He brought me, my husband, and four children to Christianity and can't tell you how much he has meant to us!!❤

Sean is super duper! Fabulous :-) MOre! Kudos! Huzzah1

Wow. I really didn't understand just how serious Dennises injuries are. I am so heartbroken. Dennis is a national treasure!!!!
Prayers for Dennis! We love you so much ❤
I love Sean.

Catholic German praying for Dennis.
@11:23 You are absolutely right Julie. This will bring so much stimulation to Dennis.

@40:00 Dennis' gem moments are very often this stellar.

Moses was not allowed back into the promise land but Dennis will be allowed into Trump’s America…it’s just going to take a few months..

14:44 I miss his positivity and views on cultural issues of today.
