- To bookend his season we headed down to deepest darkest Ashby de la Zouch to round up Taz's season and get the low down on just how difficult it has been at times for the 2021 BSB Champion. From the lows, of which there were a few, to the highs of a race win and a Suzuka podium, we cover it all, including asking the all important question... 'Was there a point in the season when you thought "What have I done?!"' His answer? Well, you'll have to watch and find out... :-D

Very smart racer. Results on the Superbike are improving too. Right up with the factory Honda at Assen. Best of luck with the rest of 2024 Tarran
Great interview.
Taz is his own man and is very focused.
Very talented and deserves all his successes.
Cannot wait to see him on the superbike world series.
Onwards and upwards!
Very kind, thank you 🙏🏼 and yeah I fully agree with you 😊
Always love seeing Taz. Such an infectious attitude and mega positive. Proof nice guys don’t always finish last 🤘🏻🖤
Howwwl! Dark Wulf! #CDW #TB #😂😂😂😂😂
Taz back on a superbike, fantastic ! Can’t wait for the season to start 👍🏻
I wouldn't expect you to get an injury on a 600, you've so much more time to think what you're doing, it's just fun. I rode 600's and 900's for 30 years without an accident but had 4 my first year on a 1000cc. And I know exactly what you mean about the power difference, I rode a ZX6R for a couple of weeks then jumped on an old '98 CBR900RR and gave it the same fistful and had to do a quick reassessment of my inputs, the 900 wolfed a 1/4 mile! 😂😂
Great chat, so pleased it's worked out well for him. All three of the Mackenzie's are such nice people and no doubt mum is too keeping them in line! 😁
Make no mistake the lovely Jan is always there in the background keeping them all fed, watered and loved 🙂 Thanks Matt 🙏🏼
Great chat with Taz, who always entertains. Really enjoyed that one, but then I enjoy all your podcasts Dave. Can't wait til the season starts, got a feeling next year will be really good with so many riders changes, roll on Feb
Thanks Penny! And with Hawk announcing tomorrow and TAS early in the New Year it’s going to look even better 🙌🏼
Thanks Dave good chat with the wee man. Such a nice chap , level , grounded bloke. Have a great Christmas , I look forward to the next vlog.
Cheers Adrian, very kind. Yeah, Taz is class and always great value to chat with. So glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼
Thanks Dave for another great chat, hope there’s many more in 24 👍👍
Thanks so much, Colin 🙂 Plenty more in ‘24, we’re just getting started 😉
Thanks Dave, only seems a blink of an eye since I watched Taz in his plain white helmet on a 125!
I remember it well, first time I saw him was Cadwell and his lid looked huge on that little body of his! Cheers, Simon :-)
🏴Are we going to see an improvement in the media coverage of Taz in 2024? There is about 3 articles in total on RUclips for the whole of last year!
Best wishes for success in Catalunya! 🤘👊
We’ll be in touch with him as much as we possibly can, we haven’t and won’t forget him and Brad so we’ll do our best to keep you and and our viewers up to date. Make sure you follow Taylor as he’s posting plenty about him, also.
Thank you Dave another brilliant podcast, love the MacKenzie family can’t wait for your chat with Taylor
Thank you 🙏🏼 hopefully early-ish in the New Year 🤞🏼
Every bit as good as I expected with Taz I have no clue but I would think that at the age Taz was when he won the Brit championship like with any racer that's a box ticked so then it's look forward to the next level and that has to be world championships just as you guys say getting there is no easy thing and firstly you have to be in the paddock and be on the radar cos my guess is they ain't going to come looking for you .I can't wait to see Taz on the superbike grid next season and see how things go for him it's gonna be great .Awesome interview Dave well done to all involved as always
Taz was 26 when he won the title (I think) and yeah, you have to look forward and upwards at that age. Shakey did the same, JR, Cal, Tom, Alex, all pushed on to be the best they could be and reaped the rewards accordingly and there's no reason Taz can't do the same (and Brad to be honest). Great fella, bright future and I agree it's going to be great to keep up with his progress. Our pleasure and thank you, CM!
Fantastico Championé
Lovely interview.
Thank you, Andrew. Glad you enjoyed it :-)
great video , seems like such a goood fellow.
Cheers Jay, yeah he’s a great lad. I’ve nothing but respect for Taz and the clan Mackenzie 👌🏼
15.22 Mad Mark is outside
😂
If he’s not injured or knocked off, I think Marc will win every sprint in 24 on the Ducati!
Winning every sprint is a big ask - it’s improbable but definitely not impossible 😁
