My electric water heater tank started to leak, so I replaced the water heater heating flange element.

סרטון מושקע כמו תמיד אצלך. אני חושב שהיית זהיר מדי הפעם. יכולת להסתפק באזהרה ולהגיד שלפי חוק החשמל רק לחשמלאי מותר, כדי שנראה גם איך עושים את החלק ה"חשוב". בכל מקרה יופי של מדריך.
מחשבה כללית שעולה לי מצפיה בסרטונים שלך: ניכר שיש לך אינסוף כלים שמתאימים לכל סיטואציה. אני שוב ושוב נתקל במצב בו לא שווה לי לקנות כלי ספציפי לתיקון ספציפי וכבר יוצא יותר זול להזמין טכנאי, כי מה הסיכוי שאשתמש בזה שוב בשנה הקרובה. יש לך הערכה כמה כסף הוצאת לאורך השנים על כל הכלים שברשותך? החסכון בכסף על בעלי מקצוע הוא ברור וגדול, אבל ההוצאה הגדולה היא לא בזמן עבודה שלך אלא על כלים, לתחושתי...

החלק של החשמל בוצע בסיוע ובדיקה של חבר, שהוא חשמלאי מוסמך. המלצתו הייתה לא לפרסם בכלל את הסרטון או להשמיט את החלקים הנוגעים לעבודת החשמל. מכיוון שכבר השקעתי בתיעוד, העדפתי בכל זאת כן לפרסם ולשתף חלק גדול מהתהליך...
לגבי הכלים, מכיר את הדילמה. קשה לי להעריך כמה כסף הוצאתי, אבל צברתי כלים (בעיקר ידניים) מאז שהייתי נער.
כל פעם למשימה מסוימת, אבל יצא שבמהלך השנים הדברים חוזרים, או שאחרי פעם אחת, זה כבר "שווה את ההוצאה" לעומת להזמין בעל מקצוע.
יחסית ככל שעובר הזמן דווקא בשנים האחרונות, קניתי יותר כלים יקרים, חשמליים, לצורך הנגרות למשל.
כתבתי פעם מאמר לגבי סוגי מסורים והניסיון שלי, שמספרים בדיוק את ההתלבטויות שכתבת על רכישת כלים (רק בהתמקדות על מסורים), אם מעניין אותך לקרוא. עד כה קראו 30 אלף איש 🙂

Is there any way to add a pipe in the electric dud to drain water into a bucket in small quantities without opening the plange, like making a short cut in the pipe that enters the home?
Of course I will do it for the next time after draining all the water from the plange the 1st time. My problem is that I have no place on the hall and I'm planning to use a garbage bucket but I do not know if it has any hole in it, and if it has I could make flooding water on the hall. BTW the dud is installed on a special room located in the floor hall.

I didn't try the way you asked so I don't have an experience with it. Take the below advice with a limited guarantee :)
I know from other people's questions that you may drain the water heater with these steps:
- Close the main water.
- Release water presure at the house from the faucets.
- Remove the "pressure release valve" from the water heater.
- connect a pipe instead, to drain the water.
- This will drain most of the water but you will still have about 10 liters remaining...
- The remaining water should be drain from the plunge anyway.
- Return the "pressure release valve" as before...
Other way
- I think that you can also remove only the 'heating element' from the plunge and not the plunge completely, for slower drain, but I didn't try it.
Note that what I did in the video, is very strong flow, so I don't recommend opening the plunge completely at once.

@@XDIY I did the following:
1) Remove the heating element and replaced it
2) Use the big bin from the garbage, it was OK and did not have any crack on it, but I did not realize that in the area of the wheels there is a little bit of leakage. I used also an extra small bin to not let all the water fill the big bucket, then I could transport it through the elevator because the total weight maybe was 80kg instead 150kg.
3) I did the solution of the pressure release valve as a preemptive solution for the next problem.
3a) I put a T connection pipe with a tap so you can open and close it the next time and use a small bucket as many times as necessary until the tank is completely emptied.
3b) Tomorrow I will put it to work and I''ll let you know.

באופן כללי, הצופים בערוץ שלי הם מכל העולם. בסביבות 10-15 אחוז צופים מישראל. ספציפית לגבי הסרטון הזה, הוא דווקא יותר מכוון לצופים בארץ, כי סוג הדודים האלה לא בשימוש בעולם עד כמה שידוע לי, אבל מלל באנגלית לא מזיק (בעיקר כשמדובר גם בהערות בטיחות וחשוב להדגיש) 🙂

כל העיקר זה חיבורי החשמל אז אמנם סרטון יפה אבל חסר החלק המשמעותי
תודה דורון. כמובן שלהציג את כל התהליך כולל חיבורי החשמל, יכול לעזור לצופה... אבל בלי קשר לסיכון בעבודה בחשמל, אני דווקא חושב שכל התהליך מלבד העיסוק בחשמל הוא החלק המורכב יותר והמשמעותי יותר (וגם זו רוב העבודה) והשתדלתי להציג את זה מקרוב ובאופן ברור בסרטון. בכל מקרה תודה על התגובה וההערה :) 🙏
