@@Focustrail I bought the practice test bundle on the AAPC website and took them until i got above an 80% on them. And I watched the medical coding review playlist on this channel. The review helped a lot to prepare for harder types of questions. I was overwhelmed too but if you can navigate your books well you’ll be fine! Good luck with your studies!
Victoria, you said geisinger health insurance! I’m from Columbia county. I was born at geisinger. I am in N.C. now, but I have family and friends in Bloom, Danville and the surrounding area. I’m studying for the PCP and i absolutely love your videos. You are a wonderful help and I’m glad I found your videos. Thank you for sharing your experience!
RAC sounds fun! What are the credentials needed for this kind of position? Does it go by any other name? I’m about to take my CPC exam and would love to plot a course towards Risk Adjustment Coding ❤
Hello! I completed the masters course and you recommended we make sure the institution we go with includes textbooks and materials. However, when reading Preppy's details, it states there are no textbooks. I know the CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 books are whats used daily as a coder. Are those books we need to purchase outside of paying for the course? TIA!
I always see people saying theyve been doing this for years without a cert. I can never find a job that doesnt require one already plus courses or training.
It can be tough finding entry-level positions in medical billing and coding without certifications. I recommend gaining some hands-on experience through internships or volunteer opportunities, and then pursuing certification to increase your job prospects. Keep pushing forward, and you'll get there!
@@ContempoCoding so I recently applied to the u.s. career institute for medical coding and i was hoping that you thought this was a good school. I enrolled here because it's affordable and self paced online, I have a full time job. I want to be able to complete the program and take the exam and get a job. What are your thoughts on the school?
First off, thank you for all the knowledge and tips you share! I've been watching your channel for a while now because I've been thinking about going back to school to learn either medical billing or coding. However, I have no previous education in healthcare and have only worked food service jobs ever since I graduated college (I was a sociology major). Is it even possible for me to start a career in this field? Anyone with a similar experience have any advice?
Hello Victoria, this is Mary Zimmerman things are going well hopefully I pass my certification I want to code, I had to take a brake because my lease had ran out. So when I get back on track, is there way's to continue on in getting on certified. thank you for all the help you've given me:
Hi Mary! I'm glad to hear things are going well for you. Absolutely, you can continue working towards your certification once you're settled. Many programs offer flexible scheduling and resources to help you get back on track. Good luck!
hello, do you have a video for genitoUrinary CPT 50k? i tried to search from your uploaded videos but I can’t find it. Hope you can help. Thank you so much
Hi Victoria! Maria here, i am currently self studying for Cpc, and planning to take my exam next month, any recommendation if you can give to be successful in the exam
Hi Victoria. I've read some much good things about your Hcc course but I'm not able to find the link Do you still provide the training or the exam review?
Hello! I’m looking into getting my CPC certification. I’ve done medical billing for about 10 years, so I am very familiar with everything you have discussed here. Would you recommend that I get a CPC? Or get another coding certification that’s more specialized?
If you have extensive billing experience, getting your CPC certification is a great step to formalize your skills and open up more opportunities. However, if you’re interested in a specific area, consider specialized certifications like CRC for risk adjustment or COC for outpatient coding. It depends on your career goals!
I have CPC & CRC certifications and a bachelors degree. I also have coding experience.I love the healthcare industry, but want to use my credentials for other than coding. Can you make any suggestions?
With your credentials and experience, consider exploring roles in healthcare consulting, compliance, or data analytics. These areas leverage your coding knowledge while broadening your career scope. Good luck on your journey!
I passed my CPC exam today on my first attempt! Thank you for all your helpful videos! You make great content ❤
Congrats any advice I feel overwhelmed with it

All my courses are currently down and I am rebuilding a brand new library.
When is the estimated time for this part of your website to be up?
