My Apple MacBook screen, which cost 4 lakh INR or 4000 dollars, was damaged because I put stickers near my touchpad. I didn't even receive a discount from my AppleCare. 😢
responding to the stories comment by rotten, i put my ipad in water in a pool while facetiming my mom, thinking it was waterproof because nothing happened for a while, and guess what, IT DIDNT WORK FOR SIX MONTHS, i got it to work after a while with no repairs, im so lucky that my ipad did not break (im using it rn)
that probably happened because pool water isnt just water, it has a bunch of chemicals in it to disinfect like chlorine. regular water, like tap water or purified water, is usually fine though.
it's still crazy to me that things like screen protectors and cases destroy macbooks in the way that they do. especially because i don't think there's any way around it unless apple redesigns the mac to de-prioritize making it as thin and tightly packed as possible. i'd also argue, though, that macbooks are generally well built enough to not really need any of it, though, except maybe a keyboard cover. :P
my camera cover is just a sticker with the unregistered hypercam 2 watermark i'm less concerned about someone spying on me and more, accidentally clicking the video icon on discord and blasting my fat mug to the world
Great video, but, why do some of the shown "Preview" windows have are in a very low resolution? Also, I absolutely love your channel's aesthetic. Keep up the great work!
so my Apple charger I’ve been using it for 30 years now because I got it from my old iPad which I accidentally shattered due to my brother pushing it downstairs, so I got a new iPad that did not come for charger so I use that charger on the iPad which the iPad which broke also due to my brother, pushing it down the stairs and now I have my phone, which luckily is not broken yetand I’m still using this damn dang charger
with the screen protector bit for the macbook... some macbooks would also get that rainbowing without them with time... thats the antiglare stuff and it wears down regardless sometimes
The only "accessory" I have for my MacBook, (if we can call that an accessory) is my BEAUTIFUL Mario line art sticker from Superstar Saga, and I love it !!
Regular laptop sleeve for my MacBook Air m2. Tempered glass and transparent case for my 15 pro with a dbrand tear down skin on the way gonna look fire. Gameboy AirPods Pro 2 case and a screen protector for my newly bought watch 9 and I think that’s enough no need to go over the top with it
@@Luuk8320he was just showing off his Mac I guess also dbrand has a long testing procedure before they even start selling the skins so yeah you’re probably fine
Man I’m sure you posted it in the description but i really can’t find the link 😢 sorry for my inadequacy (also i’m not really sure if the grammar of the sentence is correct 😅)
Don't sleep on the camera protector for the iPhones. I know it can possibly affect image quality and if that's the only thing I cared about, the sure, I wouldn't run it. But, it's absolutely goated at making it easy to just wipe off whatever dirt and grime might be on my cameras without worrying about causing any permanent scratches on the real hardware. They're super easy to replace, super cheap, very much worth the price. Does it affect quality? A real cheap bad one can, it might even add a tiny bit of flare for it being an aditional layer of glass in front of the camera. But is it useful? Hell yeah.
@ I got too much stuff in my pockets to make sure a polishing cloth is one of them 💀 It’s about priorities. Seriously, if I relied on my cameras for my work or hobby, I’d consider it! But I don’t. I occasionally bikes, often have dirty hands and metal items alongside my phone in my pocket. I’d rather just have a replaceable glass that I can change if it gets too scuffed up. Most importantly, one that I can clean with rough textiles in a pinch, rather than having to wait for a polishing cloth to be available to me.
@@Derpalerpa It’s synthetic sapphire anyway. You can clean it with something else than a cloth. In my phone repair days, i have yet to see someone crack the lens. Besides, someone who relies on his camera would never use a cover because it messes with focus/glare
@ I agree that someone who relies on their cameras wouldn't wanna affect the quality. I have, however, managed to scratch my cameras and screen throughout the years on previous devices. Honestly, I just like the comfort of having my screen protector and camera protector, allowing me to wipe it off with sandpapare for all I care. I specifically get the screen protector that covers the face ID tech and front camera. Most screen protectors don't cover it to avoid issues with face ID and to not mess with quality, but as you might've noticed, I preffer making sure it's covered than some minor quality differfences.
@@Derpalerpa In your use case it makes sense. I have nothing against screenprotectors, if you know you’re not careful with the phone. In most use cases you don’t put metal in the same pocket as the phone though. Especially if you care about your valuables. The statement about a cheap cover is just not right. The glass will mess with it either if it’s expensive or not. The only covers i can approve of are the ones with cutouts for the camera
I have an Arc Pulse too and I love it! Hefty price but highly recommend for people who want to better appreciate the look and feel of their pricey phone
once I had a ssd setting in the BIOS of my elitebook set to RAID, Not AHCI so it went into a bluescreen cycle, tried to reboot, crashed, bluescreened, rebooted, etc. I fixed it though.
Crazy how I'm watching this on a Samsung S22 with a Windows gaming laptop across the room and a Roku stick instead of an Apple TV connected to the TV in my room.
My Apple MacBook, which I purchased for 4 lakh INR[Indian rupees] (equivalent to about 4000 dollars), recently suffered damage to its screen. The incident occurred because I placed some stickers near the touchpad, which unfortunately led to unintended consequences. I was quite disappointed to discover that, despite having AppleCare coverage, I did not receive any discount or assistance for this issue. It feels frustrating to invest so much in a device and not receive the support I expected when something goes wrong. 😢
Bro it’s not uneven pressure on the screen, only on the lid which is stronger and you know, not made of glass and ssds weigh basically nothing these days
Holy, I suddenly feel the urge to drop my plan to purchase a screen protector for my Mac. I’ve had the 2020 M1 Air and it’s done wonders with a case. Not ready to let it go for that yet. Thanks for the tip.
Buy a good lens protector, mine was a use iPhone 13 PM and it came with it, they work fine. Although, I don’t know what brand they are or how much it costs. Sure, a lip would protect it, but that’s on FLAT surfaces. I had my old phone fall (on uneven terrain; red sand??) flat, back facing down and get hit directly on the camera lens which thankfully did not crack but a few scratches. Good protection does not always come cheap. Also bonus, the glare does make some nice photos once in awhile, if one is into that.
my mom put a plastic cover on her old macbook air and now the macbook has broken hinges and you need to put something behind the screen something because it will close
Also NEVER EVER use MagSafe chargers from Chinese knock off companies, they get way too hot even though they say they have overheat protection. Just spend 30$ on a legit MagSafe charger! Especially applies to MagSafe powerbanks!
i dont use mac but i will keep in mind the variants of iPhone Covers for the camera Module. I wa lways scared that scratches could lower the image quality of my phone even if that is not the lens its still a piece of (glass?) material that if had deep scratches, the software couldn handle or "make it disappear" via its algorithm build in. Anker btw my favourite accessorie brand for apple products, but also great for adaptors, data cables etc. Ugreen is great if you just need simple accessories that doesnt need to be the highest quality for a good price.

Chat… if ur scared of people watching you (even if you know they arent but just fear) i personally put band aids on my camera dont judge
screen can't get damaged because you already pre-treated it with a band-aid... genius life hack
i just use a sticky note to be fair its thin enough to be negligible
I put ifixit stickers on mine so I get it

let's some stories about how you accidentally damaged your devices 👀
i think u need the word "hear" in there
a chip got stuck in my ipad case so i ripped it out and it cracked the screen
So i did nothing, but i need to turn my charger 60* every time so my phone charges (lighting with iphone xr)
MacBook Pro (old one): fell on corner at school, screens a goner
I oppened my macbook air 2013 and broke the fan. My screen also shaderd once on my iphone se 2020 even tho i had a screen protector.

my camera cover is just a sticker with the unregistered hypercam 2 watermark

I have a dbrand skin on both the bottom and top of my m2 air. How much does the bottom skin impact the temps?
It shouldn't do anything..as long as you have sufficient cooling then your alright
I have one as well for over a year. Not a single issue so far
Dbrand skins are too thin to cause harm he probably meant those thick shell things
