Whenever I see a Lion, I always think about the 5 brothers of Mapogos. I mean they rule their land for 6 years and that is the greatest and yet beautiful at the same time. It was a great story behind it too.
I know their story as well. And it was a heartbreaker how their rule came to end 😢 Those lions were legends.
Poor Kinky Tail... The documentary was great though.
Absolutely legends. The scene of them all drinking water.....ICONIC!!Very sad to watch their lives end.Im glad we share the same sentiment.
@@shizi Do you now how much lions they killed in those 6 dominant years?
@@MarcelH666 was told over 100 in the 1st year of their rule, after they first conquered part of the Sabi? Not sure if i recall it correctly

can we please give applause to the cinematographers? OMG! Their skilled is unsurpassed. I can't believe how they get the shots that they do. Close ones, shots of the scenery....just amazing! Kudos to all of you cinematographers out there. Amazing skill....just AMAZING!!!!!
I loved it when the Buffalo turned back and were like "wtf do you think you're doing ??!"
After all the nature docs, watching a baby elephant go down is always the hardest.
Not even that hardest is when an outsider lion takes over and kills all the cubs that aren’t his

We should have intervened and dropped bombs on those lions, they are behaving badly after all.
I know. I Love Lions! But,I hate to see an animal suffer. I wish it would have died right off.
When the buffalos just stood their and stared at the lions lol. They were like “pull up then”

There is no good and evil in the animal kingdom.
Only survival.

There is a good and evil in animals just the way it is in us. Many animals kill for fun even if they are full, some just play with their food and making them suffer.

This makes me realize that how we are living so easy lives.

How a human being lives to an animal in the wild is easy? LOL stupid.

บชทุนถิ่น
You nerd ... that is a matter of style and the title is perfect because it is his last sentence ... aren't behaving badly, just being themselves. PERFECT END! GOT THAT, asswipe?
the documentary is literally about whether or not it's natural behavior or an exception. if it was titled "lions being themselves" then the questions the guy gives in the beginning would already be answered and there would be no point of watching the documentary.

RUclipsrs disagree
Do you think a lion will give a second thought to us telling it how to act in the wild? I don't.
25:16 The giraffes are like "Damn that's fucked up"
So sad about the baby elephants but that's life in the wild, have heard that when an animal is hunted nature/adrenalin kicks in and puts the animal in shock hence they cant feel anything, no one will ever know for sure but I like to think that is what happens. Nature has a way of keeping herds, prides etc healthy for the species to survive
Same with humans I've been in a few fights and what would normaly make you tear up and yell in pain feels like someone taped you. Yea it hurts later but you feel basicly nothing then. Same same for when going in shock just much more extreme you body basicly shuts down and your paralyzed almost in a coma state and you feel almost
nothing
The adrenaline shock only works for a couple minutes. It is the intense pain that sends prey into coma. Or the splitting, brain damaging pain of drowning when their trachea are being crushed. Trust me, if a lion's killing you, it's painful.
dang that ENTIRE CLAN turns around to get that baby! What support!

Olivia Morgan it doesn't really matter how they kill there prey as long as they kill it and eat it. animals might eventually change hunting styles. but then again humans are no experts so who are we to judge what hunting styles they use often, like maybe they find other ways. eh i don't know anymore.

I'm sure it was the noise the baby elephant was making and not the spotlights and jeeps
Even tho your comment was funny lol lions have things in their eyes similar to night vision so they could prolly see it anyway plus they can use their sense of smell too
They actually don’t use actual headlights, only things the cameras can pick up
I believe they interfere as little as they can
Joseph McBride I swear
lions see 8 x better than we do at night, and they could smell it.

Elephants: stampeded their child...then left it alone for the predator cat night hunters to get it

I feel really bad for all these baby elephants
Killing the Elephant is not the same as a Buffalo, the skin on the neck of the Elephant is to thick to penetrate, hence why they go for the soft underbelly and eat the prey alive ..
They can't get to an elephants windpipe like they normally do on other kills.same with hippos and unfortunately they get eaten alive because the lions are unable to crush their windpipes like they do with other prey!

I've seen elephant stampede once before when I did volunteer work there. It was one of the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in my life. Imagine XL trucks with two blade attached running at full speed across plains kicking up insane amount of dust/dirt. It's little wonder that the baby elephant got crippled in that frenzy.

44:50 that moment when your dad has to piss in the house because your getting to old
It seems the lions have this order of prey: calf zebra>calf buffalo>abandoned elephant>zebra>buffalo>bull buffalo>bull elephant and rhino.
Either you run the day, or the day runs you
This narrative has cracked me up.. For 7mths he's like, they have to go soon, they have to go soon, they have to go soon... Lol... Yea, we got it! They will have to leave soon..
Lol
It's like human children, you know they got to go soon. . . but here they still are 😪
ღSwnsasyღ _ LMAOOO 💀💀💀
Should of been about elephants and how they always leave their babies
hahahaha
lol
Narrator: “ We cant judge lions by our rules”.
Me: think about it. The elephants neck is too thick for penetration from the lions bite to suffocate and kill; since going for the elephants trunk in attempt to block off airways is useless for the lions to do, they have no other choice but to tear into it while it’s still alive.
Mike Richardson fact, this film contains no facts.
Yea it's like trying to bite a tree trunk
And thays when we realise thay common sense aint too common these days lol..... common fuckin sense
Mike Richardson What u just said is complete bull; bbc did a documentary on a pride of lions that hunted elephants, if I remember correctly, they downed a full grown elephant and then suffocated it before eating so it would have been entirely possible for the lions to kill it before eating. Also; the poor elephants position was probably given away by the camera crew. I think the camera crew just lack empathy due to their greed.
Best kill, in this sense, is to severe a vital artery... Which I'm sure they eventually did... But dang. :(
Baby elephants are so adorable. I am so sad.... 😭😔

Why am I watching this when it's literally making me sad
To not watch it, is to ignore the realaties of life. Think about it, we hear about it in the news about humans. It ain't no difference than theirs . Only for the exception is that there are no rules for them.
Life is tough for babies of any species. Everyone is out to "get you", literally!
Lions are awesome animals so strong and vicious when they're hungry....they're a true marvel of God's creation

@Sir Rex-A-Lot exept the fact that plants dont feel pain! you moron you cant talk like is the same thing
I was happy that he second baby elephant cane to the rescue of the abandoned baby. Not surprised he later ditched him though a male elephant is no nanny.
Probably the lions couldn't quickly kill the elephant since the skin at the neck is thicker than a buffalo's. It would make more sense for them to go for the underbelly, which is softer.
