@@MrLukedanger just spent 6 weeks striping and re leading a chapel roof......last redone, after storm damage from falling masonry in 1998 and failing at all the eves and abutments and even rotting out the support battens for the underlay, water staining and interstitial mold trashed all the wonderful paintings on the ceilings. Prior to its replacement it had lasted 145yrs with little maintenance. Its back on now, done as it was originally and good for another 150 yrs

Underlay? It’s on wooden boards nothing better, geo textile therma lay is known to rot roofs.
