Cara Dune was a New Republic shock trooper and heavy weapons specialist from Alderaan who served on many missions for the alliance including the battle of Endor, ground battles in the Thrawn Campaign, partook in the Battle of the Byss Citadel during the Dark Empire campaign, and partook in ground battles during the Imperial Skirmishes of 17aby. Dune proved to be an effective soldier, and would frequently work with the New Republic aligned bounty hunter Dyn Jarren, with whom she would be a frequent rival of Imperial Security captain Gideon.
