I want to thank you immensely, videos made by people like you inspired me to learn how to properly use inkscspe, now I'm working on designing Prism OS, a new Linux distro.
Hello, I am at this man's skill level in UI/UX design, or higher. I too have wanted to make a Linux OS/DE. I already have Adobe XD designs for an OS UI that looks & functions better than MacOs, Windows and this mockup combined. I also came up with the idea of tiled (or I called it quads) display manger back in 2014. I don't know if someone had done it before then but I did generate the idea myself, anyway. Think of it as a credit to how I think and design. Obviously resizing windows aside from set sizes is redundant and always was. Anyways, reach out if you are intrigued by my comment. My company is making the future of tech. My OS concept is called StarOS. It would be a great boost for both of us to merge them?
Hello Abdi! That's some serious work out there-imagine Operating Systems. The way you bring in novelty and ingenuity to traditional Windows interfaces, not only is it stunning to the eyes, but it's also super inspiring for any tech enthusiast. Incredible to finally see someone who understands design as much as functionality. Your channel gives us a view of what, in the future, user interfaces could be. More power to your elbow, and thanks for such cool ideas shared with us!
As a designer: Gorgeous, I love it. Workstation user: the more things stay the same, the easier for the workflow and reduction to the learning curve of where things have been moved to. As an average Joe: we will sacrifice this gorgeous aesthetic, for any version of windows to run without problems.. and just stick with it.
Microsoft should really contract you, just for asking, are you a member of the windows insider program? You could share your concept ideas there! There's a whole community!
Yeah even though these are just concepts but nothing is impossible, if MS team really wants to put in the work, just this guy being hired is going to be a big W for the team because the still need good ideas like these to now build the actual OS upon !!!
fun fact : they called win 8.1 becouse win 8 was failed as hell, then they maked a new version better and faster...ect, and then they called it "8.1" then it still be win 12 or 13
very very cool honestly the amount of work that went in to it! I applaud and very nice finder knock off in windows!! MS should hire you as there designer man.. really good stuff indeed
If Microsoft made this then: Minimum system requirements: - Processor - i5 14th gen or older GPU - Nvidia RTX 4050 or higher Storage - 200gb of fastest SSD on the planet Internet connectivity - 24x7 because the OS is installed on the servers and not in your pc.
Linux can't replace windows for most people bcos it s too difficult to use. Windows is way easier to navigate around, eg things as simple as installing software 🤔..his Linux distro will not become the next windows, just another distro that barely anybody uses
@@nicholasmork5454 Linux won't replace it as long as people use Windows. If you can use Linux with software it supports, you should do so, and that way will Microsoft feel users leaving and maybe do something about it with their spyware. If that guy made distro, some people actually might use it, true, but putting all this effort into making this masterpiece and nobody using it is wasted skill and potential that might be put in better use. Just my opinion.
They can't lift the TPM requirement. In fact, you will start to see more operating systems require it. Soon, TPM will be as common as secure boot or any other BIOS feature we once thought was dumb.
@@RedPill780 TPM enables security at a firmware layer. A TPM can store your encryption keys, it can ensure the operating system that you want is the one that is booting (and it hasn't been infiltrated at an OS level), it stores RSA keys on the device and they can't be altered. The world is a dangerous place and you want security at all OSI layers, not just the OS and App layers.
I love the mouse cursor, it's a small detail but goes a long way for the visual identity (the current mouse cursor is the same as win98 ffs). The only thing I don't like is the macOS like split between the status bar and the dock and that's for 2 reasons: 1. It's so macOS like it hurts... 2. It's a waste of screen space, i noticed that when you go full screen the window covers the dock (unlike on mac), but that does hide the dock which is not convinient. UX wise the combined dock+statusbar solution is much better. Still great concept.
Dude your videos are so inspiring. I am no artist but wish I could do these type of concept videos. Out of curiosity which program did you use to compose this?
AR4789, this concept Is wonderful, can you make a "Windows Car" OS like Android Auto and Apple Car Play. please? It can be different as compared to other Windows videos. Thanks.
You showed me a dream which may never come true... Considering I just have to buy an email app after being fed up of being slapped with the crappiest app ever ('new outlook') everytime I opened a goldilocks Windows Mail because it will be phased out by the end of this year.
The same reason they don't include the other 1000 features we've requested. They essentially have a monopoly in the desktop space so they don't really care what we want.
I gave a thumbs up because of the sheer amount of thought and work put into this. And a lot of the ideas are very interesting. However on the current Start menu, you can add tiny little icons for This PC, Network, Settings, etc and it wouldn't take up such a massive 25% of your Start menu space like in the proposed version. I also have never liked the idea of the taskbar in the top part of the screen. It's not great for a mouse user but even worse for a touch user. Most of the time, your arms are by your sides. And as you raise your hand, it will approach the bottom of the screen before it reaches the top of the screen. but you're also shrinking your space by having a top bar and a bottom bar. Also, I never understood the narrowness of the Start menu in Windows 11 or this proposed 12.1. So the idea of the Start menu in the middle makes sense especially in a world where we may have the screen in portrait or landscape orientation. And it being an appropriate width so that it's the same whether it's in portrait or landscape. However, even on the most extreme aspect ratio that is commonly used (16:9), you could still have the Start menu being wider than it currently is. To leave on a positive note, your initial installation options was interesting and consistent with what Microsoft does. But I didn't necessarily agree with the color palette. So what I would add is start with the personalization options almost immediately including the color palette theme. That will personalize the installation process almost immediately.
Microsoft must hire this guy
😂😂 of course they need to hire this person asap
Yeah, would be cool to see Windows innovate again, instead of just Ai. Although I guess Windows on Arm could be seen as innovative
Isn’t he good at power point?
