I'm Trinidadian and was introduced to Haitian Pate by my friend many years ago...I've visited the bakery and enjoyed them over the years...today, I followed your recipe but used codfish instead and I'm pleased with the results! I will definitely be trying your other recipes!
julie michel omg yes! My best friend used to make Legume for me every time! Then she brought me a pattie one day omg I was in love but mad that she only brought me one and they were closed 😂😂 I can’t wait to go back to Florida again because I’m going to make sure she cooks the whole menu for my visit 😂❤️
Awsome Im a young haitian man before your videos I use to spend money on food a lot but. Im gonna stop that. Ill be cooking my own meal all the time now on.
OMGGGGGGGG! I never knew it was so easy to make. Thank you for sharing. Now I can add as much meat as my hearts content. The Patties I get from my local Haitian Bakery NEVER have enough meat! Thank God for youtube Lol.
Awesome thank you! i always wanted to learn how to make these. Their my favorite kind of patties. Plus this method is really easy and straight forward. Thank you again.
I, like so many that watch your channel am blessed that your around. I do wish I paid attention to my mom when I was younger. I love the way you explain the steps with measurements. I have most of your videos saved in my library, easier fir me to get to when I'm ready to try my cooking skill. Again thank you.
Hi Lamise. I made the Haitian beef patties and Jerk barbecue chicken today for Christmas. Wow my husband and daughter loved the patties as well as the chicken. I love jerk chicken but never thought to add barbecue sauce. It was mouth watering. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing! This helped me my sisters and friends love patties. So when I made it it went so fast. They were delicious! Thanks 🙏🏾 😉🇭🇹❤️
Oh yummy!! I was wondering if I could use Puff Pastry, after watching a video on making these. It would have taken too long to make the actual dough.....And I am lazy. So thank you for this! :)
now these look so good . i like the other ones you fried also but i prefer mine baked like these . yum ty 4 sharing . you are a great cook . i noticed you have no dessert recipes. are you planning on doing any desserts ???? ty n have a great week !!
My maman taught me to make boudin and all that stuff but I don't like cooking with lard. So I would go to New York to buy pate, now I have a recipe to use at home. Do you make it with the morui/fish too? Merci anpil, thanks for saving me the drive!
Hi Lamise, very easy to make, I have been trying to make these for years, the puff pastry really helps. How do you not have a griot recipe? 😱😱😱 Great channel, hoping to see that soup joumou as well. Just wanna try your recipes.
LOL....I know! My husband don't eat pork, so its really hard for me to make griot at home:(. I'll find a way to bring you guys some griot on here. Thank you for watching!
+Lamise O It's the Haitian in me, soup joumou before church on Sundays and pâté after to help you wait for the manje midi, while listening to Maurice Sixto or Alcibiade. 😥😥😥#goodtimes
Here in Florida the Haitian bakeries are stingy with the amount of meat they put in their patties. The meat is so scarce that I think they use a meat flavored spray. From now on, I'll be making my own patties.
Dorha St cyr it depends on how they make it. My mom’s epice is usually reddish brown (everyone always asks her to make some for them) but I’ve seen ppl that have green epice. I personally like food that has been made with the brown one instead.
I know you can find in the major supermarkets in the frozen aisle with the frozen bread rolls or frozen fruit in a bag. We have Publix down here and I pass it all the time. They never used to be so available though :)

Hi, do you clean the ground beef the Haitian way? It’s so confusing with ground meat because it messes up the texture.
I usually don’t with ground beef sis.
Can you teach us how to make pate kode please?
if i want can i put boil eggs with the burger meat inside too please answer me cuz i really wanna learn how to cook pate
Hi there! I've never tried making it with boiled eggs, but you can definitely give it a try. Thank you so much for supporting my channel!
question, did you brush both sides with the stirred egg?
Just the top side. Thank you!
any suggestions how to reheat these so they are still flakey?
Hi great running into your channel. Are you able to make pate Kode please n thank you
+Nina M. Regis Thank you for checking out my channel! I will definitely have a pate kode video coming soon. my sister will be making it though lol

Hi. I'm thinking about making this, do I really have to use the egg or can it get brown without the egg?
you could do them without the eggs. I used the egg to help get that golden brown color on top. Thank you!
Lamise O thank you 😊😊
From scratch is way better than buying them. The quality and taste are very different...nice job tho 👌
Here in Florida the Haitian bakeries are stingy with the amount of meat they put in their patties. The meat is so scarce that I think they use a meat flavored spray. From now on, I'll be making my own patties.
@@tony64t lmao @ the "meat flavored spray"! 😂
@@tony64t Yup the prices went up but the meat amount went way down
@@tony64t some bakeries the meat doesn't even really look like beef anymore cuz they thinned it out so much 😂😂
Hi, you only use one fillo dough sheet to make patties. But the sheets are very thin though. I bought some fillo dough but one sheet is see through
can u can the puff patty at any store?
yes. Usually by the pie crust area. Thank you for watching!
