I highly disagree, whenever Hardy came in i just knew the other team was going to go on a run... and they often did. He is way too erractic, never uses enough of the shot clock, and constantly gives up fast break opportunities with his play style. I hate watching him play because i know he's gonna carelessly drive to the hoop or take an ill advised three. His spacial awareness is at times atrocious. Package him for a good to great wing defender.
@jjcometa9333 to be honest, a player like Hardy needs real coaching from someone like Thibedoux, Spoelstra, even Carlisle. Kidd's passive aggressive coaching only works with higher level basketball iq players imo who can take subtle hints to tweak what they are doing. Hardy is always in attack mode offensively and i completley blame the coaching staff for that. Some players need direct, concise instruction, they literally cannot just figure it out on their own. Hardy definitely has upside, lower tier Jamal Crawford, but i dont see him growing with Kidd.
How are we not talking about what happens to teams that sign James. Outside of Miami he blows through coaches. Younger players are traded for vets at the end of their careers because they are who he wants to play with. It’s a media circus nightmare for the team. I mean why are we asking to put our team through that.
Completely agree. Why do others think his antics and the drama behind him will change if he gets to dallas😂😂 I'll never get it. I'd rather have AD than this guy
The Mavs biggest strength is their chemistry....... how does Lebron blend in for $50M????? .... and how many of our top 8 would we lose to sign him? .... OH HELL NO!!
S for DJJ, he gives so much energy and coverage for opponents that are taller and bigger whether in the paint or at the perimeter. We should let go of THJ, hopefully we can get someone who can better shoot the ball when Kai and Luka are covered. Maxi can be sporadic in terms of defense and his offense when even in his earlier years he suggests to call him when needed. There's so much has happened with this team and getting better is the next step, really proud of them for getting to the finals.
"S" for sign Derrick Jones Jr. He's scrappy, high flying and a great defender. Luka needs a lot of defenders on his team with his lack of defense. We need more from our bench play. Quality veterans to come in and give our starters a breather without worrying about losing a lead.
Ok I have a kind of crazy idea but hear me out lol What if the Mavs traded THJ and Josh Green for Jordan Clarkson and resigned Reggie Bullock for the vet min? 1) Most importantly this would give the Mavs the space they need to offer DJJ the full MLE to resign him. 2) Mavs held BOS to 107 or less in every game.. their defense was great but they struggled to score when either Luka or Kyrie sat. Clarkson can get buckets when one of them need to rest. 3) Bullock is not great but all you’re asking of him is to replace Green’s production, so play D and hit open 3’s. If he can still do that than you are at least breaking even, keeping DJJ, and getting your bench scorer.
Wiggins is such a tantalizing player, but i think he has a lot of off court issues and the passion just isnt there, especially after already winning a ring and validating some of his draft stock. If we could get focused, engaged Wiggins, hungry to prove himself i would be all for it. At this point i truly believe the most important thing for him is solely a paycheck.

LaBron would win another championship with the Mavs while playing with his son. The Lakers have zero chance of making the NBA Finals because of their roster so they need to face reality and begin a long overdue rebuild. Both teams would ultimately win from my proposed trade.
You can't give up two defensive players (DJJ and PJ) just to pay LeBron. We finally found the formula to build around Luka, and that means strong defenders at the 3-5. If LeBron wants to come here for half his salary, the door is open, but we're not cleaning house for another scorer who doesn't defend with all the extra baggage that he brings.
5ppg and no season above 7. Why are we still picking up garbage players who make Luca and Kyrie have to score more just to break even? Four games out of five in the NBA finals Dallas couldn’t break 100 points and you want to trade for a guy who’s going to be the third worst scorer on the bench?
..... he would blend with the Mavs beautifully.... can you imagine him defending the 3-line? ... now, he is known for letting people slide by him BUT... he is so long, he defends from behind and don't forget, we keep a big in the paint... and for $4M ??? jeez, his top end is limitless in Dallas.... and i like his attitude and intelligence as well...
That's a good point. But don't you think it's better to have both? Trade the others, we still retain Maxi cause of his height. I'd trade Maxi mid season tho if his health deteriorates I'd agree tho if we can get Saric and another small ball 5 like Hachimura then we can move on off of Kleber's contract
The problem for the Mavs is they need to offload THJ contract to keep DJJ but they also need to get someone that can score CONSISTENTLY off the bench. And before people start replying.. No Hardy is NOT a consistent scorer off the bench. He has proven to be just as inconsistent and unreliable as THJ.

IMO we need 3 pieces. First we need a starting 3D big tall wing that is proven 18+ point plus solid 3 point shooter. Start Irving at point, Luka at 2, PJ at 3, New pickup would love LM or OG at 4. Liv at 5. Keep Gafford, OMax, Hardy, DJ. Use others to get LM or OG. Then next get a backup point guard with playoff experience that can defend point of attack and run second unit and play some with Luka and Irving. Last pickup a older player that shoots 3 really well maybe BB, BB, Hayward or Denard. That gives you your first 10 rotation, round out next 3 spots with players that have some skill that is still valuable. If no skill that Contributes cut the dead wood. Ex Morris they talk of locker room leader, sorry we don't need multiple million dollar cheerleader. Same for Powell. I like Maxi, when he's healthy he can really add to this team. but I'm either sending him out with a 2nd or Timmy(with Timmys contract definitly being part of a bigger trade on down the road) Sign Saric who should be totally healed and did well for stretches in GS last year(started some games) for the vet min and resign DJJ. The 3rd option is Greens salary, which Green will be able to be a energetic role player (still with upside) for years to come. So use Timmy or Maxi and a 2nd to get to Detroit and create space to sign DJJ and use the others salary(might have to be at the TDL) to get a legit starting finals SF in here. DJJ is a back up(spot starter) if Kyrie and PJ are kicking it, then he's fine as a Starter. But he didn't see Brunson as a 12.5 mil a year player much less one that was growing into a 25 mil player, much less being underpaid at 25 mil. And he saw brunson everyday. So he knew who he was or he didn't know what he was seeing with his own eyes.
My point is, Omax has all the tools. All the tools to be a better DoeDoe. I take a better Doedoe over this wiggins for sure. But right now the jury is still out on both him and Hardy. This is where knowing what bird you have in hand is or isn't better than the ones in the bush.
@@countfloydschillerhorrorth2090 im sure they knew Brunson was going to NY regardless
@@Red4350 No thats not true. Cuban stated empahtically(Ignorantly) that he was gonna be signed because he can offer the most. Now I saw it coming as soon as the they didn't sign him with his dad in the office ready for the 12.5 mil contact that he was gone. But cubes didn't Finally realize it once ny was moving players to make space to offer him 20 mil plus. That's when cuban said Forget it.
What they should have done is realize they were not gonna pay the 20+ and let the Knicks know they don't have to trade elswhere that losing Brunson for nothing was the doomsday scenario and at least got a expiring and their KP pick back. But cubes waited to long(Or Nico if you think he was acutally making the decisions).

Y'all clearly have no ball knowledge whatsoever, and it's so frustrating watching you come up with degenerate ideas after degenerate ideas, mikal bridges should be dallas' main target, but y'all want them to get a 40 year old who can't play defense, or off ball at all, and is on a huge contract, y'all are really pathetic
How would you get Bridges without trading the entire roster except Luka, Kyrie and Lively?
Are you sure you want to go down the same road as the Suns?
