  • This is a delightful, but rarely heard work by this Parisian composer who lived from 1903 to 1995. A student of André Marchal and Louis Vierne, he became organist of St. Augustin in 1930 and later of Dijon Cathedral. He was also co-titular organist with Jean Guillou at Saint -Eustache in 1971.

    Beautiful playing, congratulations!
André Fleury was the student of Henri Letocart and Eugène Gigout, then Louis Vierne's last student and Marcel Dupré first Premier Prix (organ and improvisation) at the Conservatoire de Paris in 1926. He was an exquisite man of high moral value, and it was a delight to watch him playing the most difficult pieces like if it was nothing, and almost without any motion. I was fortunate to be his students at la Schola up to 1981.

the prelude was rather contemplative.... and the entire composition worth this hearing (and many more).

Another beautifully played and thoughtfully and tastefully registered performance. Do you have somewhere that has the specs/stop list of your organ? I think I own most of the sample sets you used to create this organ so I’m curious how yours is conglomerated!

Hi Ryan, Thanks so much for your kind comments. If you will send an email to randmullin@aol.com, I will respond (tomorrow) with a clear picture of the sample set screen, so that you can read all of the stops.

I decided to post it on Google Drive and share a link, so that anyone interested could see the stop specification screen. drive.google.com/file/d/1RE9o3e_DP1lcSNgaweP63wXDtSpMn8So/view?usp=drivesdk No need to send an email.

No disrespect to Marcel Dupre, but this piece is superior in every way to anything that he wrote.

Wow you can play a lot of literature. Do you practice all day long?!

Hi Johnny, I practice, on average, about two hours a day. Of course, it helps that I am retired :)
