brenda just needs to get a grip. ppl are gonna criticise ur game, don’t act like its the most rudest most awful thing they’ve ever said when they’re just speaking their mind. 😭
honestly Brenda is the most mature of the devs the rest of them are the ones that over react 🤷🏽♂️ especially two actually nvm calling her the most mature out of the dev group isn’t saying much 😭
Me and my friend actually discussed how Brenda doesn’t handle criticism well, he told me how Brenda added the new skin system because she was sick of people complaining about the skins. With the experiment thing, this just proves that if Daybreak became more popular Brenda (and maybe some more devs) wouldn’t be able to handle it!
As a lore enthusiast who also btw became kinda popular in VC servers for memorising every backstory, I hate shipping with every atom of my being. I never liked people shipping characters or celebrities to begin with, but this game just takes the fucking cake. There's way, and I mean W A Y too much of it. Like dude, I'm over here trying to unlock more memories because I wanna know more about the characters' personality, their backstory, how this goddamned mist realm works, I don't wanna read you horribly written shipping fanfics! And the worst part: I COULD be fine with shipping and I would LOVE to read about those love stories of yours - because that's what we theorists love to do - IF THE SHIPS WERE ACTUALLY GOOD. Sure, we got some good ships like Tabitha x Wren or idek Arlo x Kelvin, but then we got a lot of random shii like Iris x Sanjana and Elijah x Jack. Like most of the ships are so random you can't help but just be infuriated at the fact that this is canon. And don't even get me started on the genre and how the extensive shipping doesn't fit it at all. Reading all the love (and lust sometimes) make me feel like I'm playing romance rpg rather then asymmetrical survival horror.
Not wanting to start a fight, but what's wrong with Elijah x Jack? They have lore that ties in with their possible crushes on each other, they have voice lines about it. As long as the ship isn't problematic, I don't see why it would be bad even if they didn't make sense. People like to have harmless fun and whimsy, it isn't altering anything on the game, people just like to consume different aspects of the game, but at the end of the day, we are all in the same community trying to have fun. If they are having harmless joy, I don't see the point in hating on those people.
@@suchstarryskies Agree with you honestly, I was just thinking of any in my opinion most random ships and Elijah x Jack was the first to come up. Actually I'd say they have the most uhm.. how do I say it.. not forced "perfect couple" chemistry. The reactions are pretty fun and unique between the two in comparison with other ships. I guess I didn't really like this ship because it felt like the most unexpected duet to me but now that you've pointed this out I change my mind lol
@@followthelightdearfriend That's okay!! And yes I definitely agree with that! They have actual character development individually AND together, which is something I really love. Im glad I was able to bring it up! Thanks for being so nice about it :D
shipping is a natural part of fandoms, there's not much you can do about it however I understand the problem you have but I don't think shipping itself is the problem of it. Aaaqil and Callum are the ones that suffer from it the most since aaaqil feels like he's just a extension of callum, it's not that the ship itself is bad(It's a nerd x jock in a high school scenario I used to eat that up back in 2018) it's just that aaaqil feels like he is not his own person and even if I like callum a lot because I think his design is cute and he has a nice personality overall, I still want to know who aaaqil is, what are his motivations, his fears, how is his relationships with his parents like, how was his relationship with rose before she died(That's also another problem with return to the sender) My point is:Shipping is a part of fandoms and getting mad at it, people are gonna imagine characters together even if they have never interacted, and getting mad about that is like getting mad at the sun for rising, it's something out of your control and being a bitch about it doesn't make sense, but I agree that shipping can ruin a character
I agree with a lot of this ngl, especially the gender one. There's a total of 9 non-cis character (10 if you include unforgotten) out of like... idek how many.
I made like a whole essay on this but in short the hot take that I have is that I think that return to the sender it's singlehandly the worst chapter in Daybreak because it brings down a bunch of characters that are just partially related to it down but also the way it handles rose suicide is TERRIBLE
It’s similar to bisexual but it’s different in that most pan people experience something called ‘gender blindness’, which basically means that gender isn’t a factor in their attraction towards others.
