I just rewatched this maybe a month ago. It’s so underrated. It’s the best film I’ve seen about the post-high school kids who don’t leave and just hang around their hometown. Plus the sports aspect of the movie is way more inspirational that something like Rocky.
I’ve had this in the queue for a while, I’ll have to move it up. Yates made a gritty little 70s crime movie _The Friends of Eddie Coyle_ that is pretty great. Good to watch on a dreary day.
