Rumours has it one of the games in development in Halo 3 remake, it also hints this in the foundry tech demo, they invested alot of time using classic scenery from Halo 3, and also included a flood Biome which was again halo 3. Bit weird for them to create the assets/tech when the flood are "gone" in current halo timeline aka infinite. Other examples is Master Chief suit design its kept simple vs current gen version and it follows halo 3 model again additional hints of halo 3 without officially announcing it.
That's why if a halo 3 anniversary is really needed or not, with anniversary I'm just gonna guess it's just gonna look similar to infinite, with fairly faithful stuff like for 2

These two games and game engines are close to 20 years apart, but Halo 3 still holds up beautifully today even despite its age. Other than its shorter length and a few cheesy lines here and there, Halo 3 was and still is everything you could possibly ask for in a Halo game.
The Slipspace engine couldn't be improved due to the talented engineers that left from Bungie, yet their experience and knowledge could've been crucial if they tried UE 5 because former Dice engineers made The Finals with UE and it play, felt, and looked like a Battlefield game, even the destruction was top notch when came to an UE game with that level of depth in destruction.
I'm not entirely sure what this video is meant to prove, other than the fact that Halo 3 graphics still look good even when compared to hyper realistic visuals rendered close to 20 years later.
Im not against a Halo 3 remake... but it tells us they're scared to move on... and need to use an old title to grab easy money. Looks great... but will it feel great? Exactly my toughts, they'd make just anything but new and innovative ways to upgrade the game, cause yes it's beautiful looking at a Halo ring, but it's more than 20 years old, no one and even most of hard core halo fans will be excited to look at the same levels, same ambiences and static scenarios, even if it's perfect, it was perfect, and now it needs to change,to upgrade to something new and modernest that desserve Halo's magnificence.

For the image at exactly 0:25, I honestly like the old one better. It looks like it actually exists in the game world and you could reach out and touch it. The newer one in my opinion looks like it's focusing too much on the wrong parts of being realistic, to the point where it looks like it could exist in real life but it doesn't really fit well with the game world, decreasing believability that it exists in-game, making it look kinda fake and less real to me at least. This is just my opinion. And to me, it's just too reflecty and lacks texture, especially compared to the Halo 3 counterpart. 4:05 It looks like they compared an old in-game footage to a modern cutscene footage, which seems kinda unfair.
