    He's about to be far better. Mark my words. He's going to singlehandedly lengthen Ja's career by helping limit the contact he takes while going to the rim. He's going to dominate IMMEDIATELY. Edey is a hungry DAWG and by far the most fit athletic big 7'4" player I've seen. His muscle and tendon definition around his knee is like a guard. That is a great sign going forward when it comes to injuries and it's no wonder he was a damn iron man in college never missing games.

      @chitoglenndeslate1817 so let me get this straight...Ja elevates every player's game around him and Edey has never played with other great players let alone an unguardable PG with court vision, yet you think Edey won't dominate when he's surrounded by so much talent?

    This kid picked up the Game 6 years ago, couldn't even catch the ball, Painter in the staff turned him into the most dominate college basketball player in a generation, He is a natural athlete playing hockey and baseball originally........ spent hours after games signing autographs, Carried his team to National Championship game..... And the guy still get hate, what to hate about him other than he was dominate and people don't know the college 3 second rules.

    Edey's the best #1 player in the draft.

  • @philwood7712

    Die hard Purdue fan here. Edey is one of, if not the best player Purdue has ever produced. His ability to draw fouls and finish the basket while not fouling himself Is on another level. I would be absolutely stunned if he does not become an NBA Superstar. He skipped The Green room NBA draft because he promised his coaches, family and friends that he would watch it and participate with them. He's got character, hard work ethic, And he's only going to make the Memphis grizzlies better.

    I don’t see how edey can’t atleast replicate Steven adams rebounding and lob catching impact. So overall solid pick

      He will be a better rebounding and lob catcher being so much taller and he has far more in terms of capability

    He can grow in potential in so many ways. He's bigger than shaq was at the same time, he actually can shoot 3s (watch the combine), he can be a board vacuum. Im looking forward to see which way he grows.

    This is where i think Quine a few people don’t understand Zach Edey. He is so big, so strong and so skilled that he will force teams to adjust to him, not the other way around, With Edey anchoring everything down low, the defense will be able to stretch out and guard the 3. His presence on offense will force teams to double team him and the other shooters will we open, And on and on and on…
    He will be a franchise player,
    If Zach Edey proves to be a franchise player, If I was an owner, I would fire all the GMs that passed on Edey. Because, to me, picking Edey was a no-brainer.
    We shall see how this saga unfolds.

      Meanwhile, Portland picked the defensive center, Clingan. Hopefully it will turn out better than Sam Bowie or Greg Oden.

    • @HazzTube
      @HazzTube День назад

      @@redhorse6652 I am born and bred from CT and I am a Hugh UConn Fan. Still, I share your concerns about Cingan. He might be a good NBA player, but nothing near a franchise player.
      People are finally beginning to do their own deep-dive on Edey. The fans are finding out that Edey is way more agile, speedy and skilled than the internet sports "Professionals" have been reporting. It does appear that MANY of these "Professionals" Did Not Do their own due-diligence on many basketball players, especially Edey. They just parrot back the party line.
      I do wonder if Memphis was trying to get Clingan. Memphis will be elated that it never happened, and they ended up picking Edey. Edey's upside could be as high as Franchise Player.
      I have just become a Memphis fan and got the NBA league pass so I can watch this exciting team all season long, I sure hope that Cam Spener will see some court time.

  • @HazzTube
    @HazzTube 6 дней назад +3

    I think that quite a few people don’t like Edey is because they can’t see past “small ball”. Edey to so big, so strong and so skilled that he does not need to play small ball.. Just do what he does best and teams will have to adjust to Edey, not the other way around
    I hope Edey does change the look of small ball, the same type of play over and over and over. I think that he just might help change status quo on what basketball should look like.Hey, look at the Joker and Embiid, big, slow and teams must adjust to them

    Great pick, he is a bull in a china shop. He doesn't go to the basket softly.... he goes in to dunk the ball hard. Put him in the post and cut off him. The other teams front line will be in foul trouble every night.

    one reason edey average 25 pts per game is that he is the number one option at purdue. dont think he will be the number one option; so you can expect his scoring will be more in the line of 15pt max per game.

    • @alimfuzzy
      @alimfuzzy 6 дней назад +7

      And what's wrong with that. Those are still solid numbers for a rookie. Team that up with how many rebounds he can get.
      Also don't forget he's good at drawing fouls and finishing. He could get 10 just from three throws.

      Grizzlies didn’t draft him for scoring. He’s going to Memphis to set screens, rebound, and provide a paint presence.
