Is it a good buy for ~34k? It is on sale currently on Flipkart. I use the Poco F1 with lineage OS. I am used to getting monthly updates, but my current device is nearly 5 years old at this point. Was looking for something that can serve me for a long duration. The lack of storage is a bummer for me, but I am the kind of person who tweaks around with stuff. I am used to the pixel style of photos as well.
@@VarishtGhedia Poco F1 was such a great phone in its time! 34k is a great deal in my opinion, but 128GB storage is definitely not enough and might become a headache if you are planning to use it for a longer term. You can go for the moto edge 50 Pro because of the clean UI, fast charging, decent cameras, but moto is just too slow to roll out updates.

A few days ago, google announced that they are extending the android update support for pixel 7, so it will be getting android 18. So Pixel 7 is better overall according to me. Don't go for nothing phone 2, mediocre cameras and almost at the end of its android support cycle.

Don't agree for a repair, every phone manufacturer gives at least 7 days to 14 days replacement if the issue can't be fixed(Samsung, Nothing, Google, iPhone, Xiaomi, etc). I have replaced 2 of my phones and even a laptop. DON'T AGREE FOR A REPAIR!

You can call google customer care too, I have previously contacted them and they are quite knowledgeable and quick to resolve any minor issues if it's something related to software.

@@vedant3802 well jumping from iOS to android or vice versa can be a bit difficult and some people just don't that change, but I'll still say, it's definitely worth it. iPhone 11 is too old - no 5G support, you'll also see a huge upgrade in camera quality too.

If better cameras, HDR support on Netflix, more AI features, quicker software updates, smoother UI and a very very slightly faster processor is your priority then go for Pixel 7. If faster charging, better battery life, bigger-brighter-curved display and telephoto camera are your priority then go for Moto Edge 50 Pro. Some cons of both phones - Pixel tends to run a bit hotter, does not come with a charger too. Even if Moto is the latest phone, they are not very reliable with providing android updates quickly. The phone gets warm while recording indoors, and gets hot while recording 4k videos outside in summers, but don't think I experienced it while just watching RUclips or instagram.

If you want to use a phone for 4 years then you should go with the latest one i.e. a phone that's launched this year or at least in 2023. Motorola is bad at keeping the phones up to date. @@habeebpavan would only suggest pixel 7 if your brother likes to take photos a lot and wants to get updates on a regular basis. Battery life is not the best and charging speeds are just too slow as per current standards. Moto Edge 50 Pro has decent cameras, good battery life and charging speeds, but moto is not consistent with pushing the updates on a regular basis. So it all depends on his priorities.

Regarding the heating, Pixel 7 runs a bit warmer than other phones in summer, but honestly I didn't face any issues due to that. But I'd say S23 is definitely better than Pixel 7. for cameras definitely Pixel 7, I have not faced any unusual network issues in my 20 months of usage, A55 is going to get more software updates because its newer. It does heats up more than a normal phone, but I usually shoot my videos with the Pixel 7 at 4k 30fps and it has not turned off once, maybe if you record outdoors a lot, then it might.

@@TapMix S24 is a good phone no doubt, but for video editing you should go for a bigger phone like S24+ or S23+ because your phone's going to generate a lot of heat while doing it. But if you are buying a new phone just to edit videos then why don't you buy a desktop computer to edit and skip the phone? Would be much better.

It's a good phone, but I have noticed it gets warmer than usual if I am outside in the sun for long. Do not buy Pixel 7a, it gets really hot. You can also consider Moto Edge 50 Pro, clean UI, decent cameras and I have not heard of any abnormal heating issues.

I have thought of samsung s23FE but it had major heating issues even in using instagram for 10 to 15 mins, i saw Oneplus nord 4, its overall performance is good, but cameras are not up to the mark, i was thinking of pixel 7 but i got reviews like it also heats up, camera is a little degraded after the software or security update, not getting proper connectivity and fingerprint sensor and face id not working properly, i thought of realme 13 pro+ but i don't want to go for realme brand. My main priorities are - a good camera, i am not much into mobile phone gaming but yeah a little gaming sometimes, a good battery that can lasts upto 1 day atleast , i scroll social media and watch content on youtube, a smooth user experience as a i hate laggy phones. And i don't want to go for brands like - motorola, poco, oppo and vivo. Sorry for a very long paragragh, please suggest me a phone that i can use for atleast 3 year. OnePlus 11R is selling for around 30k on reliance digital (online), if you are not comfortable buying a phone from them online then check out their offline store. Also, S23 FE doesn't have major heating issues, it's a good phone and sounds perfect for you. Pixel 7 is a good phone but 3 years is too long as it's already 2 years old(almost). Go to stores and check the OnePlus 11R and S23 FE, it's always a good idea to experience the phone in person.

Talking of s23fe i am a little worried about the heating issue, although you have cleared my doubt that it doesn't have major issues but i have a bit misconception about it. @@hunkboy5612 the reason for not recommending you pixel 7 is that you are really concerned about heating. It gets a bit warmer as compared to other phones, but there's no performance drop or stutters due to that. But that being said, we don't know if it's going to function smoothly for the next 3 years because Tensor G2 is not the best processor out there and it's already 2 years old. Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 is comparatively better SoC in terms of both performance and heat management.

OnePlus, Motorola, Oppo, etc have insane charging speeds and Google pixel phones are just so far behind. I am not saying that google should hop on this 200+ watt charging insanity, but do you think it's okay to settle for such slow charging speeds in 2024?

It's not water proof at all. And in order to repair it they have to remove the phone and they won't provide any gurantee even after that. Right now screen is operational but the mobile is. But they are saying if you repair your phone it might not be operational

I've had this phone for about 9 months. Frankly it sucks. The virtual keyboard is worse than useless. And the auto correct is terrible. I came from a BlackBerry Key2 which was far superior for typing with a real QWERTY keyboard. I'm dumping this phone as soon as the lease is done.

If your phone is not more than 7 days old then you are eligible for a replacement irrespective of open box policy. You should contact google customer care. Just search "google pixel customer care", click on the website and go all the way down and click 'contact us', fill the information and you can talk to the Google team directly, they will help you out. Is it a good buy for ~34k? It is on sale currently on Flipkart. I use the Poco F1 with lineage OS. I am used to getting monthly updates, but my current device is nearly 5 years old at this point. Was looking for something that can serve me for a long duration. The lack of storage is a bummer for me, but I am the kind of person who tweaks around with stuff. I am used to the pixel style of photos as well.
@@VarishtGhedia Poco F1 was such a great phone in its time! 34k is a great deal in my opinion, but 128GB storage is definitely not enough and might become a headache if you are planning to use it for a longer term. You can go for the moto edge 50 Pro because of the clean UI, fast charging, decent cameras, but moto is just too slow to roll out updates.

You can call google customer care too, I have previously contacted them and they are quite knowledgeable and quick to resolve any minor issues if it's something related to software.

If better cameras, HDR support on Netflix, more AI features, quicker software updates, smoother UI and a very very slightly faster processor is your priority then go for Pixel 7. If faster charging, better battery life, bigger-brighter-curved display and telephoto camera are your priority then go for Moto Edge 50 Pro.
Some cons of both phones -
Pixel tends to run a bit hotter, does not come with a charger too. Even if Moto is the latest phone, they are not very reliable with providing android updates quickly.

@@manas3102 don't go for pixel 7a. Battery life is slightly better on s23 FE but cameras are better on pixel 7, but S23 FE has an extra camera(telephoto lens).
Now you have to decide what your preference is.

The phone gets warm while recording indoors, and gets hot while recording 4k videos outside in summers, but don't think I experienced it while just watching RUclips or instagram.

If you want to use a phone for 4 years then you should go with the latest one i.e. a phone that's launched this year or at least in 2023. Motorola is bad at keeping the phones up to date. Moto Edge 50 Pro has decent cameras, good battery life and charging speeds, but moto is not consistent with pushing the updates on a regular basis.
So it all depends on his priorities.

Regarding the heating, Pixel 7 runs a bit warmer than other phones in summer, but honestly I didn't face any issues due to that. But I'd say S23 is definitely better than Pixel 7.

for cameras definitely Pixel 7, I have not faced any unusual network issues in my 20 months of usage, A55 is going to get more software updates because its newer. It does heats up more than a normal phone, but I usually shoot my videos with the Pixel 7 at 4k 30fps and it has not turned off once, maybe if you record outdoors a lot, then it might.

hello buddy, i want to buy a new phone and my budget is around 30 to 35k, i am having a lot of confusion regarding which phone to consider, because if i'll purchase any phone, so i'll use it for atleast 3 years. I did a lot of research of phones around 30 to 35k budget, i got some recommendations, but every phone is having a little problem in it. I have thought of samsung s23FE but it had major heating issues even in using instagram for 10 to 15 mins, i saw Oneplus nord 4, its overall performance is good, but cameras are not up to the mark, i was thinking of pixel 7 but i got reviews like it also heats up, camera is a little degraded after the software or security update, not getting proper connectivity and fingerprint sensor and face id not working properly, i thought of realme 13 pro+ but i don't want to go for realme brand. OnePlus 11R is selling for around 30k on reliance digital (online), if you are not comfortable buying a phone from them online then check out their offline store. Also, S23 FE doesn't have major heating issues, it's a good phone and sounds perfect for you. Pixel 7 is a good phone but 3 years is too long as it's already 2 years old(almost).
Go to stores and check the OnePlus 11R and S23 FE, it's always a good idea to experience the phone in person.
@@OnceUponATechiecan't we consider nord 4 as a better option than 11R because a little better processor, good back camera although the camera used in nord 4 is a downgrade as compared to 11R, but i have seen the camera comparison of 11R and nord 4, nord 4 has stand out because of better optimization. Do pixel have any issues that i mentioned in the other comment of mine? Apart from software update, i think it is a good option. Talking of s23fe i am a little worried about the heating issue, although you have cleared my doubt that it doesn't have major issues but i have a bit misconception about it.

It gets a bit warmer as compared to other phones, but there's no performance drop or stutters due to that. But that being said, we don't know if it's going to function smoothly for the next 3 years because Tensor G2 is not the best processor out there and it's already 2 years old. Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 is comparatively better SoC in terms of both performance and heat management.

Roughly converting php in indian rupees its around 32k-28.5k brand new here, and 27k-24.5k refurbished (price changes every now and then).

There is not a huge difference as per the price you have quoted in my opinion (refurbished vs new), so if it fits your budget, then go for the new one. I've had this phone for about 9 months. Frankly it sucks. The virtual keyboard is worse than useless. And the auto correct is terrible. I came from a BlackBerry Key2 which was far superior for typing with a real QWERTY keyboard. I'm dumping this phone as soon as the lease is done.

@CURIOSITY208 I don't think there is any gap in my pixel, I have dropped it in water before and it's working perfectly fine. If your phone is not more than 7 days old then you are eligible for a replacement irrespective of open box policy. You should contact google customer care. Just search "google pixel customer care", click on the website and go all the way down and click 'contact us', fill the information and you can talk to the Google team directly, they will help you out.
