I've rode two wheeled motorcycles since 1964 but my wife has battled cancer eight times and we went to a trike. I test drove a Gold Wing and hated it. I then test drove the big Spyder and really didn't care for it either. So we bought a HD Tri-Glide. We are on our second Tri=Glide now and over 30,000 miles on them. Christmas we bought our son a Ryker because he had a stroke and can no longer operate a hand clutch or foot shifter of a regular motorcycyle. I rode it home and it was pure fun. I liked it so much I am now looking at Can Ams again. The Spyder F3 Limitied is what I'm most interested in. When I trade the HD off I will do my best to buy a F3 Limited. One thing about a Spyder the two wheels are up front where you can see them. On a HD or Gold Wing they are behind you and you would not believe how many times you get too cloase to other cars in parking lots, gas pumps, grocercy carts and many other things before you almost hit and tear the rear fender up. With the Spyder that will NEVER happen because they are up front in plan sight.
I just bought a Spyder F3 Limited and wish I had seen this video first. I had the Ryker 900 before it, testing the waters with the cheaper model first. I would suggest both bikes to anyone wanting to experience the open air of motorcycles/trikes.
Oh yes!! This is all I have been waiting for this one and also I can't even wait to afford one of these someday. Overall, marvelous job and review / POV test drive bro.
I just returned from a long motorcycle trip. I’m done with them. Deer and large dogs came within a inch of killing me multiple times a day. I know if I hit one, and I will, that I’m going down and eating asphalt. I been riding 20 years but for whatever reason the anxiety just ruined my trip. And I’m only 38 so I’m not a old man. The deer population is totally out of control here in Kentucky and Tennessee. Anyhow riding a can am would reduce my anxiety by 90%. Sure it still has its dangers but at least if I hit a deer or some large dog in the road I have a chance of not going down. I been real lucky and haven’t been down before but sooner or later I will. I just want to travel and enjoy myself without animals killing me. I can’t do anything about the cArs on the road but I’m just not gonna die over a freakin deer 🦌. I have no ego to feed or anybody to impress so I don’t care what they think. I want to enjoy the wind and open road without deer dogs and gravel killing me.
Any of the F3 lineup will be a blast. The RTs are Great, but there's no comparison in the turns, curves, and twisties. I have an RT Ltd here in Colorado, and I sit on it, whereas with the F3 design the operator sits in it, a huge difference. I rode two wheels on and off for decades and it took me 5-6000 miles to become one with the RT. The F3 can be dialed in over a weekend. Basically, the F3 is the love child of a randy Hayabusa and a Daymak Go-Kart.
@@chuckkelley5894 cool thanks for the insight 👍🏻. I grew up riding ATVs every single day of my life until I was 19 or so. My friends and I used to run the roads on them a lot too. So when I sit on a can am it feels so natural to me like riding a atv 😂. I never cared much about 2 wheels but started riding motorcycles at 19 because they were road legal. If the atv 4 wheelers were road legal I would have preferred one of those. But it only recently dawned on me that riding a can am spyder would be just like having a road legal atv! I sat on one and yep it felt just like sitting on a big 4 wheeler like we had on the farm I like how you described the F3 sitting down “ in it”. I tend to like that. I always chose Harley’s that also had that feeling. So I can sit down “ in” a F3 like my Harley and then also feel like and ride like a big atv ! It’s a win win situation
I live in Colorado and ride mine virtually every day. If the snow is fresh I do have to wait for it to be mostly ice-free on the pavement. But otherwise, I'm out there for an average of 150 miles per day.
Really Really intrigued by this bike. I’ve never driven a motorcycle before. Well since I was a kid and that was like 100 years ago according to my kids. Anyway me and my wife both are are what you would call short and fluffy people. Anyone know how comfortable these are for bigger people and on top of it inexperience riders. We live less than 2hr from Gatlinburg Ten and it would be AWESOME to head up the mountains for the weekend on something like this. Thanks for any suggestions and advice.
tuned they can put out 140hp..the limited is the most luxury/heavy version of the F3.. the F3-S is a better comparison if you want sporty, but they need a rear shock upgrade and it's geared to be quicker..
That's just what I found with research! Everyone is going to be different, and real life could be different, but that's not my number, that's what various sites stated for that time.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I think I know what’s happening - you shut it off in gear so it’s in gear when you turn the key back on. Shift to N before you turn it off as advised in the manual.
@@johncantelon7071 either way is going to work depending on the rider. I’d keep it gear like I do on my own bike, if the ebrake fails, you have a back up from it rolling away.
You don’t have to be rich to afford this. No different than a $30K car. Obviously a car is more practical but the same principles apply for the $30K price tag. Just be smart with saving vs spending and you can make it happen.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed After many miles…Many Miles, I hit the curves and twisties like a banshee. 25 MPH curves at 60+, twisties at a similar uptick. Information I got from a can am dealer ship in Edmonton, a cam am spyder will fit in a half ton truck, with a 6ft box.
That’s impressive if true! Have to double check the width!
Probably not considering the fact that the bike is 9 ft long. 😮
Awesome video
Thanks!

Is that the stock exhaust on there ?

I’ve seen a reliable time of 4.3.
No need to apply the brake when starting if in neutral. You do need to put light pressure on the brake when you shift into R or 1st.
You can’t start this bike in neutral, I tried.

How does the overly dark windscreen affect your night driving?
Its not overly dark at all, its a light clear tint..but I just rode it for this review, it wouldn’t effect night driving with how light it is..
To Bros Fourr; Think Go Kart not motorcycle and it'll all begin to come together. I have an RT Ltd and it took me 5-6000 miles to dial it in.

Certain models still offer the manual.
So this is like a scooter?
My version of a scooter is a Vespa, so not even close lol!
a scooter that can cruise 100mph..its more like a 3 wheel Goldwing as they come with automatic DCT transmissions now..
