I bought this laptop a month ago, I'm super satisfied, and msi sells it at a competitive and affordable price. I thank the engineers and everyone at MSI for creating a machine for games, work and entertainment. It's a powerful and incredibly compact computer how much power it has. I am very satisfied, and I recommend others to buy with confidence.
How are the thermals and chassis quality?
I have a small question. Do you play Cyberpunk 2077? And if yes, how is the performance at ultra settings?
@@RafaSilva98chasis is good
I've been trying to get my hands on one here in the UK as an upgrade to my current GE73 RAIDER which is getting long in the tooth but still plays Star Citizen ok with 32GB of ram fitted, I would have gone for the new RAIDER model but what put me off it was the WSAD keys being a different to the rest of the keyboard, as I'm a left hander I never use them when gaming anyway, maybe if standard keycaps were available I would got one, but this one looks the charm, just waiting for someone to get them instock here in the UK then it will be my 3rd MSI laptop, the other 2 are still running albeit with upgraded memory and SSD's, and still see a lot of daily use, same can be said for the mainboards in my desktops they work and run without problems unlike several other brands i have had issues with over the years, this is why I stay with brand.
Awesome laptop, very clean machine. It would be nice to have the fan speed adjustable in all power settings. Now that option is only available in extreme performance profile. The silent profile is not silent at all with constant fan's even at CPU/GPU temperatures as low as 49°C.
I have the same problem with fan noise..
Hope in some future update fan speed can be controlled in all profiles
@@argolember2099
How much loud are the fans in "silent" mode?, thanks
@@ferfer6301 Hard to put the sounds in words. I'm not noticing any difference between silent and balanced mode. For now I'm using extreme performance mode as that is the only profile the fans speed can be adjusted. It seems factory settings for the fans are super conservative, even at CPU/GPU temps as low as 50 degrees celsius the fans are constantly on in silent mode.
@@Bart83 thank you so much for your quick answer. Another question, if its possible, can you turn off completely the fans in performance mode or there is a minimum level for the fans in that mode?. I'm quite interesting in this laptop, here in spain is on sale for 1600 € and think is quite interesting. Thank you again for your help
and if this is good, why its rare to find a review for this laptop?
Your right
There’s a very big thread based on this laptop, it seems it really is very good and I’m inclined on this laptop now
I can’t find FAN SPEED in MSI CENTER ¿where is it?
Can the BIOS also be unlocked with the combination of LEFT ALT + RIGHT CTRL + SHIFT + F2?
Can the Ethernet port be upgraded? It's a shame a 2.5GbE wasn't added instead, only a 1GbE.
MSI Alpha 17 C7VG-046CN or MSI Alpha 17 C7VG-035XPL?
After you dropped support for the Alpha 15 A4DEK practically one year after release I will never buy an MSI laptop again, and I strongly discourage anyone from doing so. The Steelseries keyboard individual LEDs fail once your laptop starts overheating, the LCD panel has bleeding issues, BIOS firmware is stuck at a 2021 version with no support for resizable BAR even though the CPU and GPU should support it, no new AGESA updates, no critical patches, and thermal issues despite a similar cooler design shown here and proper care/cleaning/repasting.
Alfalfa 19 Dragging Sage?
How are the speakers ?
Own one of these! The speakers are as any laptop speakers but squeaky clean sound! ofc doesnt have any low freqs but its enough for youtube and movies
@@talacra what are the thermals like temps ?
@@scotlandsbest6039 with a decent thermal paste I get 70-75 at max without turbo fan mode
how is the battery life
this or helios neo 16 with i9 14900hx?
what about sound og this laptop its vivid and rich please
i just wish they make a 4080 variant for this since the cpu is the amd 7900hx but overall this is demn good
Just bought it, lets see what I can tell as review
What is your review? What about thermals and temperature in games?
3:58 lol mutual murder
And glitched ragdoll 😂
The fact that this laptop doesn't have any form of adaptive sync (be it freesync or g-sync) was a deal breaker for me. Rather unacceptable in a laptop for this price if you plan to also use it for gaming. It's a shame because otherwise it's an awesome machine.
Why would it matter so much to you, what is the effect of not having one while using this laptop? I am sincerely asking, if you can explain it a little I would be glad.
@@boneybone8123 Adaptive Sync dynamically syncs the monitor's refresh rate to the GPU's frame rate to eliminate screen tearing and reduce game stuttering.
I don’t like alpha 17 logo , i love Msi dragon logo better
Really only up to 64GB Ram? There are already 48GB SODIMMs
I have a question for the people who bought the product, the weight of the product is 5 kg, almost 2 times the weight of other computers, is this real, so is it really heavy?
❤❤❤
Yes i want that thing""😁""🐤it's not a thing it,'s MSI
Revise the video title, Lpha is written, A gone missing
Also don't forget: The screen doesn't work. It remains black at all times, so you can marvel at the admittedly impressive sound and the vibrant colours of the keyboard, but you can do exactly nothing with this hunk of junk. What you have then is a blinking loud and noisy paperweight.
Now, I am in the market of a paperweight, but I thought I was gonna have a laptop.
I sure hope MSI can repair my purchase. But as of right now I must say: Don't buy this. The screen doesn't work and there is nothing you can do about it
seems like you have been sold faulty one sounds like gpu problem
@@scotlandsbest6039 Maybe so. The customer service was superb. Although they couldn't fix my problem, they did offer me a whole new Laptop and this one works perfectly
8GB VRAM 😂😂😂😂
it is bad?
