I'm here cus I saw econophysics in my dream, I've never head about it, never thought of it, but I was given a text book on econophysics by one of my secondary school physics teacher, though I'm a med student right now, but I think econophysics according to the dream I had is part of the future.

What did it look like in the dream? I'm curious

I just recently wrote a paper on how Complex Numbers and Witt Algebra are more predictive of current inflation at the limits than stochastic modeling. It is happening.

The first presentation had very little to do with «Econophysics» (the study of econometrics of humankind exchanges with Nature, in terms of «matter» and «energy»).
As to the second presentation, it is more to the point, but... If only they - the «mainstream "econo physicists"' - could have understood the meaning of «Capital» (by Karl Marx) and include in their «equations» (or definitions of individual agents behavior, as in «Agents Based Modelling»), the constraints and «optimization functions» of «individual agents» and then look up for the EMERGENCE of crisis (or «phase transitions») in the iterations of the simulation model...
Also it should be noted that this movement (the mainstreamn of...) is based on Newtonian Mechanics whereas a much bettrer «model» (to emulate) would the one of Biology and Historical Sciences.
