Manu chooses to flee after writing a letter. After discovering the letter, Tatya Tope looks everywhere for Manu. To prevent Manu from ever becoming the queen of Jhansi, Moti Bai, Lachchu Bai, and Sakhu Bai get together and devise a scheme to use her as a pawn. Manu unintentionally hides in a box that is on its way to Jhansi as Gangadhar's gift. Since Tatya Tope is the only person who can persuade Manu to wed Gangadhar, Moropant instructs him to speak with Manu. Enchanted by Bithur's woodlands, Gangadhar makes the decision to start hunting.
