I have a huge full set of the Christmas tree Spode plates ,salad plates dessert plates coffee cups and saucers mugs sugar and creamer set five huge serving pieces the glasses she held up plus the big goblet glasses the whole set is for 12 . My mother in law started collecting them for me right after we married 47 years ago plus I collected pieces here and there when I found them. There were expensive here . I live in Texas. They do take up a lot of room though but I have loved them ! ❤️🎄

I would have grabbed a ton of the tiny bells. That can be used as a string garland for the Christmas trees & on door knobs or on outdoor trees for Christmas.

Go look up dept 56 villages. There’s multiple styles, the original is glazed, dickens, city, and North Pole village are matte. They’re about as top of the line that snow villages come I wonder if that’s what you’re thinking of
I inherited my mom's Christmas village pieces. A mixture of Dickensville, Lemax and a few Dept 56. We kept the boxes for easier and safer storage.
Drew would have loved those leather covered benches (at 11:12 in the video). The bell ornament is sooo pretty. Great haul MaCenna! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Look up “California creations ready to paint” or “California creations Christmas village” - they’re ceramic pieces you can buy to paint!!! With intricate details!! A little pricy but!!!
The type of houses you paint come from a Ceramics store.
They used to be around everywhere until big box Michael's came along.
I have wonderful memories with my sister making new pieces & special ornaments every year.😢
She's in Heaven now.
As for what to do with leftovers...
she hated dishes & put leftovers in plastic freezer baggies!
Use quart or gallon size as appropriate.
Everyone can SEE what's in the bag,
leftovers get eaten,
if not...
throw bag in garbage!
No extra dishes.

MaCenna you can purchase a string of lights for the houses that will only take one plug. I have some from Michael's that are 3 and 6 light sets on one strand. This sure helps me when I set up our village. This way, I don't have to worry about extension cords or a power strip to plug everything into! Great video as always.
I have holiday serving bowls. I use them everyday. Usually right after my dinners are cooked I transfer the food into my bowls. It makes me happy to see the colorful bowls

There is NO channel that remotely compares to yours and I live for it. Yes the unpainted Christmas villages!! I have such fond memories of my mom and I picking some up every year and painting them. I am so sad I can’t find them anymore 😢 I’m determined to carry on the tradition with my kids
OMG Spode!!! I love it. Unfortunately for 3 tiny Xmas decorations for the tree is $123 here in Australia. I think that punch bowl would be perfect for bread rolls in a wrap 🎄

We have a big extended family that all live near one another and we have lots of relatives from across the country and also in Europe who more often than not over Christmas will spontaneously travel to visit so we never have any real idea who will be here or for how long. We kinda gave up on trying to do the whole turkey and fixings dinner a number of years ago. Sometimes I’ll still do one for one of the days during the holiday but what we have ended up doing is cooking a giant pot of chilli and I make batches of cornbread and/or naan bread to go along with it and it stays on the stove over the holidays so it can be heated up and people can just help themselves whenever they show up to the house, so that pot you just put in the fridge made me chuckle. It’s an unusual Christmas tradition, but it’s one we’ve really grown to love. Just helps keep the stress down and everyone loves how little pressure there is to organize busy schedules around a time sensitive meal like Turkey is. We can all just get cosy around the fireplace and chat and hang out and enjoy a satisfying meal.
MaCenna I always enjoy your videos, but I have to say Kinsley always steals the show. I just adore her 🥰

It’s 3 am where i live.
The Christmas Village and train track/station is such a timeless, beautiful tradition to keep. I was born in Germany and this was a staple all around. Usually the making it was a diy-modelist hobbie situation so you can definitely build them too!
Our tradition with my Dad was to make a Nativity model on a large plywood. Vintage figurines, manger made from scratch every year, foraging around for elements like sand, branches to act as trees,moss etc. Unforgettable. Happy Holidays everyone!❤

I gave my son and DIL my entire Christmas village over the past 3-4 years. I had a downtown area, two neighborhoods, churches, ski village, parks, school, people, cars, etc … Mine were all Department 56 brand … the first snd most detailed of all villages. Enjoy!!

I use to work for Mikasa 1oo years ago and love some of their Christmas pieces too. I should've purchased the sets back then. 😅 I'm super excited to see the cottage and your momma back on the vlog.
When you make that much of something, you can always portion it out throw it in the freezer and then take it out of it anytime and add your accoutrements on top. It’s so good and it’s always better the next day.
Love your flea market vids but especially this one because of the Xmas finds. I have had the It’s a Wonderful Life houses that were sold through Target for about 25 years now. I love them because I love the film. Have figures as well and hope to pass them all down to my kids one day. Enjoy your new finds!

I believe the houses you are speaking of I did with my family over twenty years ago ..they were sold at Hobby Lobby made of plaster ..very detailed and were painted with acrylic paint ..I have probably around 25 different village pieces from various homes, a hotel, bakery ,candy shop , church, drug store , toy store, grocery, town hall , etc and abour 8 inches tall

Walmart sells the Christmas village’s and they have the light cords also, people, ice rink etc…
Maybe you could find some battery/remote operated lights to put in the villages to eliminate the cord situation and make it easy to turn them all on at once.

The way your dad looked at you and hug you reminded me of my own dad. That’s the way my father reacted and after he hugged me, he said thank you when he found out it was twins (two girls). We moved a lot when I was younger but in a very small area… A couple of years ago my mum gifted me & my siblings our own miniature churches that light up that a local carpenter made true to life, they are all from different villages/cities we grew up in, so my oldest brother have one from the place he lived in for the longest time, I have on from my hometown where I grew up & still live etc..
And I love taking mine out around Christmas even though I’m an atheist because it’s just such a lovely piece of art & a reminder that home is always with me no matter where I go ❤

I got so excited to see all those vintage glass ornaments!! So beautiful!! Your Christmas village is off to a beautiful start. Those houses were an awesome buy!!
I got excited about them, too! I remember when I was first married and we had so many things to get to furnish our house and we couldn't afford a lot of ornaments - especially the thin, hand blown glass ones shaped like animals and people, etc. So I made sure I was at the biggest department store in our city at opening time the day after Christmas. They had long tables set up end to end for miles with big boxes filled with loose ornaments lined up on both sides. I was stuck in line behind a woman who was looking for fabric ornaments and she hated the glass ones I was there for. She would literally pick them up one by one and throw them into the next box, smashing them to smithereens, along with the one she'd it on! I was aghast and watched for a few minutes with a combination of confusion, anger, sadness, and hysteria (which I hid). I had tried to go around her but she was like a dog in the manger - afraid I'd take what she wanted. I finally convinced her I didn't want the same things she was looking for and she was breaking all the ones I wanted and she let me in front of her. It was a great sale - something like 70% off on the first day - and I bought many as I felt I could justify to the hubby! 😂 It was a great start and after a few years I ended up with enough to completely cover a large tree. 🎄

My husband and I painted an entire village of buildings, starting the year we were married. We have enough to go across the top of our piano.
Those houses, and the Spode are gorgeous. Great finds! Santa and the sled are a bit large but could go on another surface nearby. My sister made a pretty icescating ring with a piece of streaky stained glass to go with her village.
I have so many of those old vintage holiday buildings. They were in my dad's house after he passed. They're all still in the boxes. I don't even use them, they're stacked in my basement.

Oh my goodness! MaCenna!!! The "My Book House" series that you passed at the flea market are the best ever for children! In the event that you have a baby I totally recommend getting a set! They advance from nursery rhymes and short stories in the first book to full on tales in the later books of the series! I have such wonderful memories of my mom reading them to my siblings and me when we were young. And they look beautiful in the shelf as well!🥰🩷📖
I came here to comment on the "My Book House" books! We had a set when I was young and I poured over them, over and over. Somewhere along the line, my mother gave them to me and I display a few of them. I agree MaCenna should consider collecting them - they are fun to collect, great for kids and fit her aesthetic :)
