- We live in a world in which we have so many broken homes. Why? Because many of the God given fundamentals for how a family should be run have been over looked.
Husbands need to respect their bv wives also. Respect and honor goes both ways.

Praise God for this message! Many marriages fall apart because one or both individuals have taken their eyes off of God's master plan. We must first learn to submit fully to God so that we be made fully aware of the Lord's instructions in our lives. I can personally testify it feels great to submit to my husband who seeks after God's own heart. We both have learned to die to self daily. The blessings of God are overflowing. Humbled!! I recommend every couple read the book " The Adventist Home." The joy of The Lord is our strength. A happy home promotes great health and true happiness, come from the Almighty God!

Exactly, alot of women, even some christian ones, place priority on the other things and not on the husband investing time and following God's plan for the marriage. Some wife's some wives are upset and ready to leave u if u ain't giving them their dream house or a certain type of house. They care more about having a house than having a home.
Wives submit... in the Lord. If the husband is not leading in accordance with the Word of God, the wife must follow God.
Exactly Donna! Just as Colossians 3:18 states "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, AS IT IS FIT IN THE LORD." God should be a woman's first love, and their entire submission should be unto Him. Then comes the woman's husband. Praise God He has given us all our own minds so that He may speak to us by His Spirit and we may follow His leading, even when it comes to wives submitting unto their own husbands. God would never have a woman violate His laws in order to submit unto her husband.

I hope this comment helps people to see that when people quote Ephesians 5:25 they forget about vs 26,27. These versus tell us why he gave himself for the church. Jesus had to sanctify the church so that it would be presented to himself without wrinkle, spot or blemish, but holy. How did he do this, by cleansing it by the washing of the word through love. The church did not accept correction so eventually it killed him. Jesus knew that he couldn't allow the church to spread false teachings and continue in its errors of sin. The church (meaning leaders) rejected his correction and ultimately killed him.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Women represent the church or bride and there's a movement going on by the devil to separate women from their husbands(Christ) and the devil is 100% behind it. 8 of 10 Christian wives are filing for divorce and most of these divorces are for irreconcilable differences. So what's the problem? Women do not want correction or guidance from their husbands. When the woman considers themselves equal to the husband because she makes just as much money or more money than the husband, this causes conflict. She now feels that she has authority and also that she has a voice to decide what she think is best for the financial decisions. I'm not saying that she doesn't but when that voice goes against the word of God then that voice is wrong. The devil is cunning and he will work through whomever to break up the family. Women are nurturers by design but when she has to send her young child to day care in order to work 40 to 50 hours a week, this breaks her heart and it intensifies those nurturing qualities. So as the child gets older, they want to do whatever to make that child happy because of the guilt of not being able to be a full time mother. They give up this natural requirement by God in order to make money and provide a so called better life for their family, but what is a better life? This is the lie that Satan has given to Christians because we live in a secular ordered world. The people of God are not to live off worldly principles concerning lifestyle and what's best. The best thing is to take care of her young children instead of going to work. Even if this means downsizing from the life that they once had. Christians let the world dictate to them what is so called best but we are to live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Lifestyle doesn't matter. The husband is supposed to provide a godly home(teaching his family the ways of God), food, clothing, shelter, insurance (inheritance),etc and if he is providing these things, he is doing his job as husband. The problem is the cost of the clothing and shelter is patterned after the world. Designer clothes, expensive cars,and gated community houses. I know most people are not going to agree with me but I know that deep down in my heart that a married Christian mother is not supposed to give her 6 to 8 week old baby to a child care center or anybody else just so she can go to work and maintain a certain lifestyle that she's accustomed to.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

We are sent into the world to show the love of Jesus and to exhibit his character. The home is the example of complete serenity and a reflection of the Godhead. Our homes should be an example to the world but we are patterning it after the world. Christian wives should be able to tell the non believing wives they know why they quit their jobs in order to take care of their children but no, they are doing the same thing they are doing so where's the Christlike example. What's the difference? What if those non Christian wives saw more and more Christian wives becoming stay at home mom's at least until the child becomes school age. This would show a godly example of their dedication to their home and children rather than to a job.
And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

The divorce rate for atheist is 21% and for Christians is 48%. The devil is winning and this really grieves the holy spirit. Christians are supposed to have the best marriages but unfortunately, this is not the case. He really is making merchandize of Christian homes and it has a lot to do with women working. God bless and I pray that this puts things in perspective. Let's stay married Christians!

Dwayne - has the wrong view on the nature of Christ which causes him to be confused in other areas of his theology - Walter Veith has the correct view as does scholars like Edward Heppenstall - Roy Adams - Woodrow Whidden - Raoul Dederen - he is also into last generation perfection - which all - takes your eyes of Christ and puts them on yourself - sin and law...leads to guilt - depression and uncertainty of ones' salvation
