i have anorexia and let me tell you it’s the scariest thing when the doctor tells you you need to gain weight. the thing is she was being body shamed before and i was never body shamed by anyone but myself. this is a wonderful presentation of how eating disorders are formed and what helps me when i feel like i want to lose weight is it’s not about your body that everyone really thinks about, it’s your personality. i’ve always thought if i was skinny that would make everyone love me but in reality it’s how kind or fun you are that makes everyone love you. if you’re fat but have a great personality, people are going to want to be your friend. but if you’re skinny and are always talking about your body or just not having a likable personality, people aren’t going to want to be around you all the time. if you have anorexia, and oh gosh i know it’s hard, don’t think about your body, it’s the personality that matters!

Too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall, too anything this and that. There’s always this sense that we are too something, and we are all not enough. This is life. Our bodies change,our minds change. It’s just part of life it happens. Just unfortunately some people don’t realize by putting those people down just because of their bodies could make that person never want to show themselves again and sometimes could push them in a darker hole.

Your body still matters bcuz the person that you are lives in that body everyday. Treat your body right and do what is healthy for it. The important thing is being healthy. People care more about looks and sacrifice their health. Being too far on either far extremes which are being positive about being obese and starving yourself to fit society's beauty standards are both unhealthy mindsets that society is pushing in our faces. What happened to the Middle? The balanced and healthiest mindset of them all. Take care of your body and health. Your body matters, not for looks but for health.

I took a developmental psychology my first year of college and learned about a 23 year old ballerina who died from anorexia because of how pressured she was to be skinny. I almost cried in class, i want to give everyone who’s experienced something like this a hug
I love how inspirational this was, I just wish those nasty bullies either learned their own lesson OR had some sort of comeuppance. Their self-satisfied smirks really make them ugly! A good person lifts people up, not knocks people down.

@@AhelesM I use weight shifting to make my punches hit harder. It's the thing that black belts use. This is the reason why some mean people who body shame you hit harder than you punches. It took me a couple years to Fully master it

Wow, I love this story. It was very inspirational and he should make more like this. I struggle with an eating disorder too, and there’s definitely inspired me to stop being afraid of gaining muscle mass and start weightlifting.
I need a whole show with this girl, this is my favorite dear man video, ofcourse it isn’t as relatable(it is though, I’ve experienced this treatment in life) and funny as Jay and Mikey, but that’s what why we need a WHOLE series!

Right? I was body shamed by my mom and it wasn’t the best experience, I lost the weight but she insisted that she never shamed me for my weight. I really admire her mom’s point of view
"It doesn't matter what others think about your body, what matters is how you feel." Same, but true message! Everybody comes in different shapes and sizes and they need to grateful with their bodies regardless of their size. Very important tip: If you want to lose some weight, you can go to the gym regularly; it's also so important to eat some food for energy to avoid dehydration and malnutrition. These can damage your bodies and health in a bad way. The point is that we need to make sure we take care of our bodies properly.

The lesson of this video is, revenge is the biggest success! You should never shame someone for who they are, they don’t get to choose how they look or what their size is, if y’all are being insecure like this, stop and realize how your body is, and then apologize to the people you’ve been hurting and you finally realize what you have done.
