As the Caribbean saying goes "those who don't hear must feel" (meaning that those who don't listen or consider consequences need to experience the consequences in order to learn not to do it again). There are adults out there today who don't consider consequences or respect boundaries because they weren't taught that lesson growing up (or they're just arrogant). I give those adults a taste of the consequences when they push my boundaries.
Never get in the way while a father is disciplining his son. C he is TEACHING him. You get in the way, you not only show a discord in your home but you give opportunity for more disobedience and manipulation from the kids. Mothers you are not mothering in the middle of a father who is fathering. Move on over or go in another room. Your boys are going to become the men we all need today.
I LOVED chemistry. I couldn't grasp the concept of some of the math bits .. I could equalize the chemical equations to show what changes happen when the reactions occur, and if they were Exo or Endo thermic, but I couldn't "prove" it because I sucked at the math. 😅 So many funny conversations with my professor that ended with, "just trust me" 😂😂
As much as I hate Chemistry, I loved the Chemistry professor. If this is her demeanour always, she is an angel. Chemistry is a tough subject and not many understand it and we can’t appreciate what we don’t understand. She is brilliant and God bless her.
My son is serving 20 years, he's 23. He wrote me a letter in which he stated; "You were right, Pop. My mom was too soft on me. Had she let you discipline me the way you saw fit, I wouldn't be in this situation."
The chemistry professor shouldn't have to "dim her light" to appeal to a man. She hasn't met the right man. A secure man with his own career and correct mindset would be able to relate to this woman. Be your true self.😊🙏❤
What does being a chemistry teacher have to do with being a woman? You gotta stop this foolishness. They were talking about a job, not gender. Please read some books and wake up.
God this frustrates me when people make a mockery of intelligence. Why should a chemistry professor diminish her intelligence to make people comfortable?
The first woman is not very bright. She steps in when her husband is disciplining their children but she's surprised that they are playing them against each other. What did she expect was going to happen?
She should have had that talk while pregnant with the first baby. The expectations and how they view discipline etc. I had that talk with my husband and we’re together with every disciplining moment with our boys.
I dated a PhD in Polymer Science. I rode a motorcycle and she explained it in layman's terms. I was like what in the world is that? Shes like "You know your helmet that you wear when riding your motorcycle?" I was like "Yeah" She goes "Well, we use science to find out how to make your helmet lighter, but also stronger and safer" Fell in love! One of the best relationships I ever had!
Gosh I love the chemistry professor. She is so funny. If she is similar in her class, she would’ve been a professor I loved and appreciated. FWIW Chemistry was my favorite subject in school- and yes, it made me a better baker
The chemistry teacher is an honest person and she should not hide who she is. She is happy and proud to be a teacher. If people can't handle it, that's their problem.
I’m a boy mom and we do our best to satisfy their wants and needs, but when they go the wrong way, we’re together on the discipline. Nobody’s being too harsh. We’re both the bad guys.
Loaning money? The old adage applies here: "Be careful loaning money to friends / relatives. You very well might lose both". Never EVER co-sign a loan. Ever - there is a reason the bank refused them solo. Also, when I loan money to people, I already know Im not getting it back (sometimes I actually do) but if I dont, I dont care. I give an amount I can afford to lose. Now obviously, if the person who doesnt pay me back asks again, of course I turn them down, reminding them that had they paid me back from the first loan, Id have the money now to loan them LOL. Works for me.
First, DON'T CHIME IN. Women always feel like they need to say something. There is a time to be quiet and a time to speak! But sometimes they do too much speaking!
You're too harsh on that chemistry teacher. My advice for her is to wait and find a man who loves the concept of sharing ideas and influencing children. Or maybe he's interested in chemistry, and you're lucky. But you're a sweetheart. Don't lose hope. Good luck❤
1 :11 How can he advise someone when he doesn't have any more information than that? "Undisciplined boys make undisciplined men who end up either in the hospital or in jail or in the grave." Well, let me tell you that an education with too much discipline produces men who end up in hospital, prison or the grave. The 2 extremes are equal, unfortunately. Before advising anything, he should have asked more questions: - How was he, the father, brought up? What is his family pattern, basically? Because there are people who didn't experience hard discipline younger and who use it on their kids. As a result, they maybe don't know how to "do it right", I'd say. - What are the dad's reasons for disciplining his sons the hard way? And when I say reasons, I don't mean "because they're boys". I'd have asked for specific reasons, i.e. "After they've done something stupid." "Okay, what kind of mischief?", "After they said something bad" "Okay, what was the bad thing that they said?", and so on. - How often does he discipline them hard? (Because, I think we all understood that when the lady was talking about it, she may not have been saying the terms because they were on a TV set, but from the look on her face when she talks about "discipline hard", we're clearly talking about physical correction here, in my opinion). - Does she think it's something fairly automatic, or is "hard discipline" something you can tell is thought out by the father? - After the "hard discipline", do the parents, and especially the father, see that their sons have understood why he was reprimanded so harshly? And lots of other questions I can't think of~ With a topic of this kind, we can't brush it off as if it was nothing. Well, I only stopped at 1:11... 😂
I agree, I feel like there was more information to be got from that story before judging. No one says discipline is not good, but there is such a thing as too much, it causes children to either grow up stunted because they are afraid to make any decisions orgo very bad at the first taste of freedom.
3:57 She agreed to be guarantor for someone she barely knows?! He saw her coming a mile away. But I guess we all need to learn these things the hard way. I also learned the hard way to never lend (what I consider to be) large amounts of money to acquaintances. If the bank or their nearest and dearest won't lend/give to them, then why should you? There's a reason why they're asking people they barely know. It should also go without saying that you should never agree to cosign on anything for an aquaintance. Heck, I wouldn't even do it for anyone other than my kids (at a push), and thats only if I'm sure they're good for it. My friend just got stung with a £4k bill after cosigning for her sister to rent an apartment. The sister voided the terms of the lease, and my friend was the one who had to pay for it with money she didn't have.
Numerous valuable pieces of advice were shared, but it was disheartening when the chemistry teacher requested assistance. Hey, Steve listen, through education, we cultivate exceptional individuals and serve as the cornerstone of a prosperous society.
His whole interaction with the chemistry teacher was really demeaning. His opinion is that people should stay ignorant of chemistry and the woman should hide the fact that she teaches it. That is a stupid idea. The US needs a lot more STEM degrees. We have to import engineers (mostly from India) because students are not studying STEM. She should be proud to be a chemistry teacher. She should have a few stories that use simple chemistry to show people how interesting it is. A LOT of cooking is based on chemistry. Using acids and bases are critical to good cooking. Baking is chemistry. Yeast consumes sugar and creates CO2. Steve's attitude is wrong.
For the first lady, why are you even here asking Steve for advice about raising your boys? Just shut up and let your husband raise them. It's just that simple.
Tell the chemistry professor to go to some scientific conferences or perhaps try a professional matchmaker. She needs to meet more learned, seasoned men.
Never a borrower or lender be; For loan oft loses both itself and friend.” In other words, you risk losing your money and your friendship if the loan isn't paid back..❤
Parents each have a role raising children. If your husband is not abusing them, physically or mentally, what he's doing while their young will matter (for the better) when they're grown.
Called them cray 😂 I get yhe scientist approach but she’s not getting that the majority prefer another way and if she wants happy faces she has to change up a little of get used to twisted up faces 😅 just like for me with rbf, I don’t see why I need to smile for ppl to feel comfortable yet smiling those return more smiles back 🙃
Steve cooking is chemistry. Applying heat to various ingredients to change their composition, taste, color, chemistry makes your car work, chemistry is in your synthetic clothing. Putting down science is a disservice to promoting education.
Practical advice! I raised my son how I should be. Boys are totally different from girls. Sometimes my wife think I am so harsh with my son. Anyway, boys should be raised strongly, firmly, but not overly strict.
If he is too harsh and he chases them away, shes gonna have choices to make to maintain a relationship with her children. its best to address it away from the kids but it has to be addressed. if they are married and a package deal what he does affects her too..
She needs to join some science groups where she'll find a guy who loves it like she does. A lot of people find science boring and hard but it's why we can cure dieases or treat them and it's how we know when there's a hurricane coming and so on. She just needs like-minded nerds to talk to and she'll find a sweet, smart man just right for her.
I loved the chemistry professor. She cracked me up.
She shouldn't disagree w husband in front of the kids. Approach him privately. But present a united front to the kids.
I agree with you!
@proudafrican-wb4db OF course that was an exception. Sorry you had to go through that.
@proudafrican-wb4dbI had this happen to me too!
She did it in front of the world, not just in front of the kids smh.
😂
The chemistry teacher is such a vibe ❤
I remember my husband making my son sleep in his truck for missing curfew. I was upset but he’s made out fine & a great dad himself
That’s actually child abuse.
As the Caribbean saying goes "those who don't hear must feel" (meaning that those who don't listen or consider consequences need to experience the consequences in order to learn not to do it again).

The chemistry teacher are so cuuuuute! She looks like a honest and kind person!
A kind of woman that would be a joy to sit and chat with, with tea and to listen to her stories
I love the chemistry teacher!
I love the professor and i like how honest she is, lying is bad and i think she just need people who are confident
Uncle Steve, please be nice to the Chemistry Professor. 😂😂❤❤❤ I love her
Thanks for the lol emojis.😂😂 I love her too. lmao 😂
She F... it up 😂😂
Unfortunately chemistry isn’t 😂😢a subject that really matters! In fact science is good
Me too😂❤

Your son is growing up to be like his father one day.. Raised them well.
Every word was true for the first problem 😊
Loved the way you answered woman asking about her husband and boys. Steve you smart man.
Mr. Steve Harvey, thank YOU for all the laughs and thank everyone who make this show possible. 🥰
As much as I hate Chemistry, I loved the Chemistry professor. If this is her demeanour always, she is an angel. Chemistry is a tough subject and not many understand it and we can’t appreciate what we don’t understand. She is brilliant and God bless her.
It’s not that hard now lmfao
My son is serving 20 years, he's 23. He wrote me a letter in which he stated; "You were right, Pop. My mom was too soft on me. Had she let you discipline me the way you saw fit, I wouldn't be in this situation."
Uh that’s a tough one but he’s reflected on it and has learned from his mistake. Is he serving for hard crime?
@@jollymollyramram9702 murder
Just gonna blame the mom? 😅 That's terrible
@rachelroberts633 he had no discipline from her. That's why a boy needs a dad.
@@ronj7658 where was the dad?🤔😃

Be nice to chemistry woman she's beautiful and attractive 😍.
I love that remark: "undisciplined individual ends up either in the hospital, in prison, or even in the grave."❤
True.
God this frustrates me when people make a mockery of intelligence. Why should a chemistry professor diminish her intelligence to make people comfortable?
I like the Professor, she's smart.
You cracked me up, I’m dealing with depression and anxiety, and you made laugh so hard
That Chemistry is another topic to be developed, LOL 😂😂
Mates should be on the same page. Talk to your mate in private about your concerns; never in front of the children.
The chemistry professor is a class A nerd. Only class A nerds will get her.
😂😂😂😂
The first woman is not very bright. She steps in when her husband is disciplining their children but she's surprised that they are playing them against each other. What did she expect was going to happen?

Steve ain't right about everything but he's on point with this one!
My advice is for the chemistry professor to seek for people with common culture. A lot of people out there won’t know her worth!
THIS
I dated a PhD in Polymer Science. I rode a motorcycle and she explained it in layman's terms. I was like what in the world is that?

As a mom of 2 sons, I agree with Steve.
Chemistry was fun, especially organic chemistry.
If the Father isn't hardd on them, the world will be.
Dang Steve the chemistry teacher schooled you
i love the chemistry lecturer
The chemistry teacher is an honest person and she should not hide who she is. She is happy and proud to be a teacher. If people can't handle it, that's their problem.
the conversation with the chemistry teacher got me cracking😂
Steve is RIGHT
All Of That Part Steve❤❤❤ Right 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Dammm I love the Chemisrty teach .... the branch she likes to explore wow hahahah
Uncle Steve is keeping it REAL 😅
Mamá please 🙏 let your man take care of those boys! He loves them he won’t hurt them ❤❤❤❤❤
Great advice ❤❤❤❤

Great advice 👍

Kudos to you teacher !
Totally agree with Steve

Great advice Mr Steve ❤
Good advice to the woman regarding her husband and raising boys
Steve Harvey is the "Confucius" of today.
Your attitude towards the chemistry professor explains how you get an 'f'
Also explains the multiple wives.
Couldn't have said it better myself👏🏾👏🏾 And he was totally out of his depth!
Numerous valuable pieces of advice were shared, but it was disheartening when the chemistry teacher requested assistance. Hey, Steve listen, through education, we cultivate exceptional individuals and serve as the cornerstone of a prosperous society.
Steve was ignorent on the Chemistry professor, and made her feel worse
Baby we all as women go though this sit down count yr Blessing
it takes 2 people i feel you should listen to wife maybe i am too hard but give me a right to do my job as dad
The initial expression on Steve’s face from her opening statement could predict his final reaction.

I did really well in chemistry 🧪 I & II
Hated History class though lol 😆
Yea same I hated history bc I passed it was so pointless

America wondering why Chem is important cuz it’s too hard for their little brains to comprehend 😂😂
The Chemistry Teacher was fire, and I think she was Russian which is why she wasn't with the bull shxx! 🥰😂
You can’t be friends with your children. That’s a formula for heartbreak. They must respect their parents first. Love comes after discipline.
😄👍 . This professor eats her bread not for a reason. She was smart

Hating on the chemistry teacher!
