Both my kids have used this high chair and we have even hosed it down in the shower after messy meals and hair cuts. When done I sold it on Facebook market place.
I have this high chair and I made “wood” legs with the faux wood contact paper from dollar tree. They have the lighter pine color and a darker one too.
This was so helpful since I'm expecting a little one soon. I'd love to hear your pros and cons on the Stokke. I've also been eyeing the Abiie Beyond Wooden High Chair, which seems to be a more affordable dupe. I would be curious to hear your thoughts/comparison!
That’s super weird, our trays on these high chairs are easy to remove! We have twins and I find it annoying that the high chairs don’t stack with the trays attached. they stack if you take the trays off but that doesn’t help with storage because you need to put the trays somewhere. I find the straps somewhat difficult to use also. Overall these are not major issues for a $20 high chair!
I got this for my daughter when she was about 9 months old and we’ll be using it for our second (due in March). I love the accessories! I’m definitely adding the foot rest and the padding.
Lol! The accessories seem to just defeat the purpose of the affordable high chair, but I certainly can see the practicality of them, except the leg stickers. Xx I have the Tripp Trapp and I wish I bought the IKEA one cos of how heavy the Tripp Trapp is. The one redeeming fact of the Tripp Trapp is that I will use it for myself once my daughter outgrows it. I'm 152cm and would love some foot rests. 🤣
I agree that it totally defeats the purpose. However, I do like that I can totally personalize it to my taste a hundred percent for like $140. It's totally custom because I get to pick everything. I'm still considering whether it's the one I want to get but I do see the appeal of picking every little detail custom instead of just buying like a graco seat where your options are limited.
The tabs that lock the tray on loosen up if you take it off and on a few times. Pull the tabs to lift and you can even pull them a little extra to loosen them up a little. I kind of hold the chair down with my legs and go down the row of tabs one a time until it pops off. Then it comes off no problem, and gets much easier. I was frustrated at first but now I take the tray off to clean after every meal.
Just purchased this high chair along with the accessories. Really love the customization of the accessories I can get for it. It’s so cute! Thank you for the review.
We have the stokke steps high chair, very kindly gifted by a friend. Easy to clean, easy to remove tray and really has grown with my son from 5 months to 2.5 years now. Also has a footrest, and it feels less fiddly than the Tripp Trapp.
The blow-up insert covers: are they just fabric that you have to machine wash all the time or are they like vinyl wipe-off? I don't want to be laundering and switching out covers every day. Loved this!
This is really helpful. I have a different chair and cleaning it is a nightmare. I have been eying this one, could not prioritize to do all the research. This is really helpful. Much thanks ❤️❤️
Susan, my 5 year old niece is half Korean and she lives in the USA! I was born in Canada my parents are from Poland! I cannot wait to introduce her to Korean beauty products! I am sure she is already using sunscreen too ;). Thank you for your awesome videos!
Which high chair would a 6-month old baby fit into better? I’m trying to decide between the Antilop and the Keekaroo, which is very similar to the Tripp Trapp high chair.
When I sought my sister’s advice on a high chair, she mentioned a concern that it doesn’t have a 5 point harness, would you find this to be a concern with younger babies starting to eat food?
Just a heads upon! Both of the o rings are supposed to be under the foot rest. I was looking at etsy for them and several of the videos set it up like that. That way you can't see them and and looks nicer. 🥰
If you lift one hook under the tray. Stand behind it, hold one leg down with your weight and lift up the tray will come off. It is a pain but necessary from time to time because food does get stuck underneath the tray. It’s shocking. I know there are some RUclips videos explaining it better. Unfortunately, this Highchair didn’t work for us. Between the tray, gap between the baby in the seat that isn’t adjustable so food always ended up in our baby’s lap even with a pocket bib, the cushion coming up so high that it would get filthy quick on the sides, I kept pinching myself on the harness , it frayed on us after just a few months and no footrest. Which was huge issue for our baby. We ended up getting the Aiibe Beyond Y Highchair and it’s been amazing!
I love this chair so much but had to get the trip trap because the lap belt couldn't hold my son down any more. He constantly end up on the table and I am just tired of the power struggle.
There is a company that makes silicone mats with food dishes attached, easy to clean, recommend them to anyone. They are called easytots. So cute aswell xx
The reason I ultimately decided against this high chair was because you can literally buy *any* accessory for it accept actually cushioning for them baby to sit on! Aside from the foot rest the bum cushion was most important in my opinion. Why don't they have that?
Stokke Tripp trapp, imo, is an expensive pos ! Ours is on fb market place right now bc I can’t stand it. My husband just wanted to burn it but I stopped him, hopefully we’ll get some of our money back.
This had me sold because of your informative video. Unfortunately the footrest is sold out on “Yeah Baby Goods” 😭 That’s my major concern being my baby is 6 months,& I read the importance of having a support system for their feet. I emailed customer service and hoping they get it back in stock soon. Otherwise, I may hv to buy the Trip trap chair or Abbie. Thank you for your excellent review, I’m now a new subscriber, I appreciate great reviews with honest feedback.
I do! We use it more for restaurants and visiting family for meals, so we haven’t really used it as much in the past few months, but I’m sure we’ll put it to use eventually.
This highchair is not good for chunky babies. I used my sisters and it would be hard to get my little girls legs out.she was around 1 when i tried it. My sister said she has been having the same issue lately with her little girls legs
I love love this high chair. I don't really find any of these cons to be cons, for me personally. I didn't know about the footrest (will be add one), but it's so simple, cheap and easy to clean, and that's more important to me than being cute.
Which ones are you wanting to buy? The blown up cushion can be bought at Ikea. The contact film can be bought at most hardware stores and I have seen numerous hacks for the footrest (look it up on pinterest or Google it), and we bought a placemat and cut to size and fastened with velcro for easy removal for cleaning.
So let me get this straight...its great because it's cheap...but you have to buy all these extra accessories anyways. Might as well just spend $60 on a high chair that has all those things in the first place. 😂🤷♀️
Love all the accessories you can buy for this highchair and you can't beat the price, it is definitely on my "to purchase" list.

This is a really great idea.
The padding and covers are at Ikea now
Not good if you have a big baby

Your skin looks beautiful in this video! It always looks fantastic but this time you look particularly radiant and fresh :)
Lol! The accessories seem to just defeat the purpose of the affordable high chair, but I certainly can see the practicality of them, except the leg stickers. Xx

@@dorkaballa-johnson1214 Yes, I can certainly see the appeal. These company that do IKEA accessories are just brilliant xx
So cute! It looks exactly like Aspyn Ovard's!!
I loved this high chair for my son!! I bought two of them!
As always , this is another very useful video ! Thank you for doing this , Susan . From what age did you start using the high chair?
The tabs that lock the tray on loosen up if you take it off and on a few times. Pull the tabs to lift and you can even pull them a little extra to loosen them up a little. Love your review new subscriber here! Never seen someone who's so on point

You look stunning and so glowy, Susan! I love your shirt too!
She gets injections for sure

Can you do a video on what you got your children for Christmas or their favorite toys?
Was at ikea yesterday and they sell blow up inserts that are grey and cute now.
This is really helpful. I have a different chair and cleaning it is a nightmare. I have been eying this one, could not prioritize to do all the research. This is really helpful. Much thanks ❤️❤️
Now I’m curious about nikash’s setup? What booster or chair does he use? Thanks!
Susan, my 5 year old niece is half Korean and she lives in the USA! I was born in Canada my parents are from Poland! I cannot wait to introduce her to Korean beauty products! I am sure she is already using sunscreen too ;). Thank you for your awesome videos!
Nice would probably get that when I get my 3rd child thank you for sharing ❤❤🔥
Thank you for this incredibly in-depth review!
It’s easy to remove by lifting “lock” on the corner on the left side & by holding the bottom part.. no hack needed.
Oh my goodness. I'm going to try this now (also find the same issue as Susan).
I have to try again! Mine doesn’t come off that easily.
Yeah, I have this high chair and mines come off so easy. But I almost never take it off.
Which high chair would a 6-month old baby fit into better? I’m trying to decide between the Antilop and the Keekaroo, which is very similar to the Tripp Trapp high chair.
Would love a more indepth review of the stokke high chair!
Thank you so much for doing this review. I had no idea about the posture issue! Would you mind linking where you purchased the foot rest?
I’d like to know where you got the foot rest as well please!
Hi! It’s from Yeah Baby Goods. Link in the description box. 👍
When I sought my sister’s advice on a high chair, she mentioned a concern that it doesn’t have a 5 point harness, would you find this to be a concern with younger babies starting to eat food?

From where should I buy the accessories from !!?
I don’t know if I missed this part of the video, but how did you get wooden legs? The ikea high hair online has medal looking ones
Yes ! We love yeah baby goods and their beautiful designs !!

What is the booster you use for your toodler when eating at the dinner table instead of using high chair?
Where did you buy the insert cushion for the high chair?
I love this chair so much but had to get the trip trap because the lap belt couldn't hold my son down any more. He constantly end up on the table and I am just tired of the power struggle.
What color leg wraps, foot rest and placemat did you get?
Not sure if IKEA recommends to do this, but I know some people wash the tray and seat in the dishwasher.
There is a company that makes silicone mats with food dishes attached, easy to clean, recommend them to anyone. They are called easytots. So cute aswell xx
They are tons of silicon mat everywhere Amazon, target, wall mart that are good quality and much much cheaper.
does it fit your older child in it? Tripp trapp grows with the kids
The reason I ultimately decided against this high chair was because you can literally buy *any* accessory for it accept actually cushioning for them baby to sit on! Aside from the foot rest the bum cushion was most important in my opinion. Why don't they have that?

Thank you, Very useful video. Placing my order now

You can find the foot rest on etsy!
Does the footrest go up anymore? I want to use it for my 8 month old & she’s not very tall
Why did you not continue to use the babybajorn High chair for baby no2?
I felt like it was too small and didn't allow us to put the highchair up to our dining table as my baby got bigger.
Do you still recommend the bumbo chair?
Can you give a link for purchasing the foot rest?
Where do you those leg covers stickers (wooden)?
Is the seat able to be adjusted
This review was very useful.Well explained !!
You said the chair comes separately. The chair i have to buy separate? Im so confused
Do you have the bamboo or cherry footrest?
Unfortunately they are out of stock for cushions.
If you pull up on the front corner of the tray, it pops right off
What color “wood” did you get?!
Can you review the doona
Baby bunting also have good variety
I would like to buy this high chair and the accessories for my grandchild. Are you Canadian or American?
She is American but the chair in Canada is $19.99 right now regular $24
I bought the foot rest on etsy

Doesn’t the footrest give away ??as baby gets older
Are you able to adjust the height in this high chair?
Nope.
Okay where do you find the contact paper and the tray cushion?
Anyone know where I can get the ikea chair accessories in Canada? Shipping from yeah baby is $$$$

What color leg wraps is this
I buy the 2nd hand chair only 7 euro, and the new footrest 25 euro, new insert 5 euro, 3 pieces 2nd hand cover round 7 euro.
Purchased during the video lol before it was even over
“I got it because it was very pretty” so no because of it functionality? Its a bloody 500$ chair.
The foot rest is never available 🙁
Whats the max weight on this
amazing hack
SOLD 👍🏻
❤❤
I don’t get how people could spend $400 on that stokke chair!😭 but it is really pretty tho
Susan, I am here a year later to tell you that the white ring goes OVER the black ring and then all of it under the foot rest and you never see it 😉😜
🐥
I’m sorry this is so long winded 🙈🙈🤯
You remind me of Hilary Duff idk if that’s weird or not LOL
So let me get this straight...its great because it's cheap...but you have to buy all these extra accessories anyways. Might as well just spend $60 on a high chair that has all those things in the first place. 😂🤷♀️
off subject ... you look a lot like Kim K.
