W tier list! My exact list except I'm not high on Surge. They'll have good snd and upset potential but I think they'll flop most of the time with a lack of slaying. I'm not saying this will happen but I could see them or Gentlemates not making champs.
20:28 minimum wage is way lower than the previous cdl minimum salary, but minimum salary is a different concept in the states. we have things like overtime and other employee protections for hourly work, if you're a salary employee those protections go away and there is a minimum salary to reach that threshold. the federal minimum salary is around $45k, but it'll be going up to $58k in 2025 which is why I think the minimum salary was removed from the cdl rulebook. I really don't think its that much of a deal.
collegiate cod is a great starting point, but what about the people who will age out and/graduate? It’s like traditional sports where there is minor leagues with people of all ages

Even as an optic fan it's certainly a possibility. Optic teams tend to follow that trend regardless of success. Start the year hot/decent, heat up a bit, crash right before champs, usually perform decent at champs. Even last year they went 1st to 12th at back to back majors. There's a real chance for complacency, we see it with almost all teams who win a major/champs it takes a while to get re motivated especially when your practice is all online league matches that don't feel fair after you just won on LAN
20:35 FYI 4x12 is not 52 weeks, its 48 weeks. thats why when you work out how much you get paid weekly you should times it by 52 weeks. not every month has exactly 4 weeks in it.
I think slasher gets the hate because alot of his success is nearing a decade ago, hes well past his prime, gets carried a fair bit by other better teammates, plays slow, usually predicable, boring POV etc. Alot of this has to do with the fact hes old school and been around for a minute IE the boring POV and predicable plays but considering how minimal leadership is truly required for a team to play great he costs the team greater success. I think a team should take on a top challengers player and work to elevate their ceiling then pick up a dude like slasher where you already know the ceiling you are working with, its not going to get higher, hes not going to enable you to reach a sunday, hes not going to be the reason you win a major or a ring. No question that the guy is talented and has had an amazing career but hes just not on par with the top talent in the league and i think to be up that end nowadays you cant afford to waste 25% of the make up of a team on a predictable, old and nearing retirement pro player. This is a hot take but even picking up someone like Arcitys who has gone down to challengers and really ran the gauntlet would be better than slasher right now (and i say that as someone who was adamant Arcitys needed to be gone from the league) but the dude really turned up in challengers and found success but we all know theres a reason slasher didnt go to challengers, its because it wouldve made him look bad. A truly great player wouldnt of had those concerns and wouldve got onto a team to play the year out, Slasher couldnt afford to take that risk because his stock was already so low. His only saving grace is boston were so fkn bad this year that he looked good, but I would be surprised if he lasts on that team for the full year.
Good pod good list, I think kremp slightly underrated. He was inconsistent last year but he’s so new still getting his footing I’d say , he was nasty all the time in challengers

Faze would be better with ghosty. Eliminate the unnecessary hate, and drama draz brings to the team. Replace him with a better respawn player and respawn communicator (which they need because cell is incoherent). Draz is historically the better SnD player but he didnt have a big role on faze to do so. So considering respawns are 3/5 gamemodes im taking ghosty over draz personally
FaZe and OpTic both wanted Drazha over Kenny last off season but I feel like either team would have benefited from having Kenny instead. Ghosty similarly to Kenny has elite comms.

My thoughts - Every tournament even on lan has been online since we stopped using consoles - GM8s tbh might be the first big team to make a change, I can’t see kis or preistahh being consistent especially on a game like this - Surge is being underrated - ravens might be top 5 fr
tbh #1 spots shouldnt be based on average placements, imo it should be who earned more money that year. yeah the players wanna leave a legacy or whatever but at the end of the day this is ONE of the ways they make money, so it should be ab that.
So I think Ghosty played better than Draz did this year especially towards the end of the year in respawn. That being said I would still prefer Draz on both LAT and Faze over Ghosty. Draz is the better SND player for sure and both of these teams don’t need someone to get kills anyway
For this to be the year he drops out of the league would be sad considering a small map, Omni movement cluster Fk is ideal for him specifically. He's going to RUN SH*T in challengers where it's unorganized and they let him free roam

They have a serious lack of maturity issue. Hydra is a bit of a diva, scrap can be a hothead. And ghosty in the past has had maturity concerns with practice/drive. I don't think it'll be an issue because this team is going to fully DEMOLISH everyone outside the top 3 with ease. But if they're too complacent thinking they're the best and don't actually practice it'll get ugly I agree
Just on there being no minimum salary. The US might have a low min wage but that's an hourly wage. How many hrs are these guys actually putting into the game ? Doubt they're being paid min wage based on a 40hr week because that would actually be insane.
There's some grey areas because no org is going to be paying for down time. 8s/pubs/etc won't be "on the clock" work. If you timed a scrim set with a stop watch what's it take to play 8-10 maps? Maybe 2-3hrs, there's a real opportunity for orgs to nickel and dime players if they really get particular with time.
