- It’s the month of Halloween.
Time to get spoopy.
Today was homecoming in my town and that means a bunch of drunk university students wandering around. Because of all their shenanigans (being too loud) I really couldn’t do too much with this recording. I wanted to add some other harmonies and stuff but sometimes you can’t and you just gotta roll with it and that’s what I’m gonna do. I still really like the way this came out though.
I think I’m gonna try to post some more Halloween themed covers this month. Lots of spooky to go around for the month. 💀

I've interpreted this song as the angel of death soothing the spirits of terminally ill children and taking them away to a magic garden to play and be free of their sickness for all eternity.

I also see the angel of death coming to children who were unfairly murdered/abused, and taking on the appearance of something comforting to them, so that they won't be as afraid
Luna Arcane the sad thing about this is the actual meaning of the song is very very depressing.
The witch wants to steal the children’s youth and by doing that she kills them. The “calm and quiet.” Is death.

Hey Anna you should do a villain month where you just upload straight up Disney villain songs for a month (or week) and do songs like Friends on the Other Side, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Cruella de vil, The World's Greatest Criminal Mind, Mother Knows Best, Savages, and Gaston from Beauty and The Beast. Just an idea because the villain songs are always my favorite and your take on Hellfire is the best I've seen. Great job Anna!

Although i feel you kinda are forcing yourself to keep into the low tones. is that on purpose?
Im not saying it's monotone, but it feels like youre restricting yourself to a certain range. Some parts i feel should go a bit higher pitch.
Just my opinion though, but the ending was awesome :) the little extra line at the end made it for me.
I used a pitched instrumental for this which might be why! The original key falls in this weird break in my range between head voice and chest voice and I didn't like the way it sounded.

Manny Tafoya I suppose it depends on range. Sometimes you can go soprano and sometimes you can do an alto/tenor. At least that's my experience.

While the song is typically glorified by most 10-12 year-olds who are 'edgy' (pretending to be dark and brooding, suicidal, or overemotional for the sake of being cool, etc.), the song request itself isn't an issue. The song, in fact, is a nice one all in all, and I as well would be interested in hearing Anna sing it. Watch how quickly you judge people, for a single song interest is not what stereotypes are based on, you walnut.
