- A bitumen coating over this floor has trapped moisture, sending it sideways into the bottom of the wall. As we remove the bitumen, the floor and wall magically dry out before our eyes. Peter Cox quoted thousands to damp proof this house - all it needed was the cause to be removed, and it all dried out beautifully. www.heritage-house.org
Peter, you talk about problems will appreciate if you explain the solutions as well.
What would you suggest to lay on the floor now everything is removed?
Good video, but what do you recommend to go down? If the bitumen acted as a DPM and you’ve just removed it, what will you replace it with?
So what should replace the bitumen covering to finish the floor ready for carpeting?
Could Lino cause this too??
