Installing WordPress on sub-domain is almost identical to installing WordPress on main domain.
The only difference is that at the beginning you have to create sub-domain. (It might take couple of minutes before subdomain is resolved and activated by your hosting company, be patient). Then we have to setup SQL database users and permissions to end up with connecting WordPress with that database and finally installation of the WordPress.
In this how to create subdomain in cPanel and install WordPress tutorial we are going to do it through 5 simple steps:

02:32 - Create database, db user and grant permissions
04:28 - Upload WordPress to subdomain
05:41 - Connect WordPress with wp-config.php to database

I have set subdomains up b4 (and previously installed local servers, wp etc.). but I forget and its been several years as my site phasm.co.uk lapsed and languished on the web archive for the last three years.. but I like your plain simply and no 'matey chat' tutorial.. so subscribed :-)
@@eynshamacademy seems to be an issue with the 'A' record on the DNS. my domain registrar is different from the web host and whilst it wasn't an issue in the past it seems it is now... resolution is to transfer the domain the the host (hopefully) and to change the IPS Tag on the old registrar to the new (UKWEBHOSTING)
Works mostly great! I'm getting an issue where all my pages are '/index.php/page'. The nature of my websites don't reaaly need to be perfect though I'd like to know why this is happening.

I'm currently running a plain old Jane HTML website, but is it possible for me to setup a subdomin directory or staging environment directory running Wordpress, then once this Wordpress site is completed, push and replace the existing HTML site? All Within the cPanel of course.

Is there way that can provide an interface to users that they can give some information (like store name etc), then automatically install WordPress in a subdomain with a preset set of plugin that will create a WordPress in a subdomain with the name given at the beginning? when you click on any page or post this will redirect you on main domain, this method is working on home page only not posts
To fix posts issue you need to edit "permaliks", hope you have solved it by now!
on spirokovac.com/start , there's a banner requesting the page owner to remove by unpausing the clickfunnel account.

Why would anyone do this if you can EASILY install it from Softaculous in Cpanel?
Maybe to learn bit more about hosting, databases and cPanel overall so that once it's needed it can be used.
