Tour the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge in Frankfurt 4K

Quiet. Comfortable. And free for Star Alliance Gold members traveling internationally. The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at FRA was a peaceful way to start our journey from FRA to SFO. We were flying United, so the closest lounge access was a Lufthansa Senator Lounge. But curiosity about the AC lounge prevailed. So, we made the trek to Terminal 1, Concourse B. To get there, we had to walk a bit, pass through a checkpoint, and take a train. However, this stylish destination was worth our ~15 minute journey at 6:30 a.m. The lounge food was tasty and plentiful, the self-serve bar well stocked with mid-range alcohol, and the early morning crowd was quietly respectful of others. To boot, the plane spotting of A380s was pretty magnificent. ; ) Pro tip: If you're traveling LH or UA, give yourself at least 20 minutes to get from the AC lounge to your gate -- so you're not cutting it close in changing concourses.
