Hi this system looks great, I'm thinking of using for a reno project coming up. unfortunately gypsum plaster has been used and now the wall is soaked, I'm after some advice?. How long should i leave the wall to dry out after the plaster has been removed before applying the insulation? I have checked the areas of concern for the issue of damp and cant see any defects in the outside render and has a external soak away drain that isn't blocked. Any help would be greatly apricated.

Unfortunately there is no definitive amount of time that drying may take. Drying is affected by temperature and air change so during this process you can encourage drying by heating the affected space and ventilating the building to prevent high internal humidity.

That's not the best blade for cutting this stuff from experience of many installs now. You want to use a saw more like a bread knife. I used two blades depending on the thickness of insulation...Bosch S1213AWP or S2013AWP it really helps to have woodfibre sandwiched between an upper and lower parallel guides so it doesn't vibrate the woodfibre too much, I made a jig with back stop for the last project as installing over 100Sqm of the stuff with complex angles. This is a great video of a good quality install. They must have been paid well on this project as not rushing at all, we normally have to work faster and achieve 100% plumb results - Haha!

Gave up on the saber saw after cutting 1 board and reverted to the handsaw. Great system 👍🏼

Great to see this all laid out. The only part I don't like is the plastic mesh needing to be set into the Lime Green plaster. You mention stainless corner beads as an option, is there an equivalent alternative for the main plastic mesh used in the wall?

Could use a stainless steel mesh but the cost of that is prohibitive! I've used it on a few areas where we had to but it was painful. If the client is happy to pay and understand the reasons then so be it! I don't have that kind of capacity!

Glad you mentioned that. We actually use a fibreglass mesh (highly resistant to alkaline) for this system. You can read more about it here www.ecologicalbuildingsystems.com/product/thermoroom-reinforcing-mesh

It is thermally great but the client has to understand the benefits otherwise will never pay the price over say insulated plasterboard! That is what we are up against really.
