very sweet boy, you can tell he is loved . how easy was he to train, will he walk 3 miles plus with you ? thanks in advance
He was fairly easy to train , I got him trained professionally though , but they are very stubborn at times ! They are on the heavier side so long walks should be okay in good weather but they get tired quick .

They will go on easy walks. 3 miles if it's not crazy terrain. But be prepared to go a mile in and have to carry him back to the car because he feels like napping.

Do they breed often ??
He's so precious! Just make sure you keep any rough exercise to bare minimum(stairs hard running jumping etc.) as it set up major joint issues later on. Start weening it in around 2 years. That's what we did and ours was the only puppy from the litter without joint problems!
Thank you so much for the advice ! I do make sure that he doesn’t over exert his self while still getting proper exercise, If you have any other tips please let me know since I am a new dog owner .
@@brucethebullmastiff1250 there are plenty of resources to help you, but another thing is to wait an hour before and after to do anything physical after eating. This will prevent stomach issues. When the dog enters the "teenage" years he will test your patience. Just keep having a level head and know it's just a phase. Make sure you're socializing and doing obedience now. Once it hits thst phase and beyond will determine the kind of dog you have. If it's wary of dogs and strangers, or does anything you don't want him to do now, it's best yo nip it in the bud before he's 130-150 pounds and able to pull 4 people effortlessly. Socialization is key. It doesn't mean forcing him to play with other dogs or anything. Just take him to stores and let him sit in the cart, or walk around with you, etc. You'll be thankful later. Their gaurd instincts kick in around 18 months and it's noticeable. I would recommend the perfect puppy course that Will does on the fenrir canine channel. It's a perfect course for new big dog owners

This is excellent advice & I wish I had this knowledge when my Bullmastiff was young. She ended up with joint issues in mid - old age. She was the greatest dog ever though. So smart, so sweet, and the mildest demeanor I’ve ever seen on any dog. All she wanted to do was eat, sleep & be loved on😂. I miss her so much!!❤️

Precious baby! I’m enjoying my baby boy’s puppyhood right now. I’m taking a ton of pics and just enjoying the moment. The breed is Everything I had dreamed of! Perfect of course! 💜 😊
My guy truly epitomizes the breed description lol and rarely barks. Think I’ve only heard 1 proper bark since he arrived home. Did Bruce bark much as a puppy? I’m curious after seeing him bark in this video.

And she came from the pound for 25 bucks.
She’s given us every experience an owner of an intelligent, loving, dog can possibly have, including a bonus. She’s now somewhere around 19 to 21 years old (we don’t know just when she was born) and she’s teaching us A LOT about the peculiarities of old age… it’s personality changes, the aches & pains, unwanted fat-pads, how good Good sleep is, And the amazing joie de vivre an old-timer can have, sometimes mimicking that of a teenager.
We DNA tested her (finally) and her top three breeds were Staffordshire Terrier, Shar Pei, and GSD. There were abt 9-10 other breeds, including Cane Corso, and English Bulldog. This Heinz-57 dog is truly something special.

Beautiful. We've had four, all colours, one fawn, one brindle and two red. Our last boy passed 9 years ago, miss him so much. Wonderful dogs, you will not find a sweeter and more loyal breed.

I had a Bullmastiff years ago, right after I saw one in the movie "rocky". Great dog, sweet and well behaved. Looks like whoever bred your dog did a good job. The breed kind of "exploded" in the 80's and weren't always bred well with some faulty physical characteristics. If socialized and obedience trained (can be by owner), they are absolutely a delight. Don't try and make them ferocious, they do protect and guard, but making them mean is wrong, and I don't think it would stick. BTW, I'm not speaking of you doing that, just any owners who might mistakenly want a overzealous guard dog. My Dog LOVED the water, tried to get in shower with me many times, lol. I think in the Fla. heat, it helped. All the best with Bruce, he is an handsome guy ! xoxox
So an Italian Mastiff would be a better choice than Bull for a guard dog?

My folks and I have two Bull Mastiff Mixed dogs. First there’s our big dog, Tank, who’s a Boxer Bull Mastiff Mix and then there is our surprisingly medium sized dog Roxy, who we thought would get as big as a Great Dane because she’s a Bull Mastiff and Dane Mix

My freya who is going to be 4 in a couple months is my best dog ever. Never seen a calmer...gentle dog ever. She will be our last dog. We had an old english mastiff too... nice dog too. But bullmastiffs are the best silent pet dog,
Brue has similar characteristics to mine from many many years ago.
3:50 it’s funny my dog has this same collar but he’s 9 months and wear the biggest one PetSmart have but he looks like 4 months and probably wears the same one. It’s a German Shepard

Is your bullmastiff allowed by your apartment? I am going to be living alone soon and really would like a bullmastiff but am worried my apartment will say no as they are classified as "aggressive" breeds. Wanted to know if you had any problems with that!
Unfortunately Apartments don’t allow mastiff breeds so you may run into trouble with that , Bruce is Registered as an Emotional Support Animal for me so I’m able to have him at any apartment or home .
At which mint it starts drooling??it will not be stop drooling?? Can any 1 give suggestions??
Bruce started Drooling around 6-7 months and it gets worse from then on ! Bullmastiffs drool a lot and there’s nothing to prevent them from drooling . I recommend always having a towel handy and learn to love it !
They drool the most after eating and drinking and when they get hot/excited just buy bulk hand towels and you'll be fine

lol you will get there eventually, but you picked THE BEST dog, super loyal, very intelligent, super gentle with other dogs and kids, but has a perfect instinct for when to protect, so loyal.
What do u feed him we have 2 female male same litters there 10 months they don't like the blue diamond brand we give them lamb and rice
Bruce eats Purina Pro Plan Salmon Based Diet mixed with Beefstew soft Food.

They are more protective than aggressive. Commonly they will sit on your feet or place themselves between you and a stranger / another animal they aren't sure about.
Seeing Bruce reminds me of my bullmastiff girls. They were such sweethearts and unique in their own way. Our third bullmastiff was terrified of puppies yet our second was a total mom. I don’t have any anymore due to my parents aging and bullmastiffs being a bit on the heavy side for people of a certain age but they are a wonderful breed of dog. Perfect for kids to grow up with.
Lovely dog, my Mastiff i had to get put to sleep as his legs and bladder and bowels had given up( he was 15 yrs old) i miss him sooo much, and has taken me 7 yrs to be able to say i am now looking for a new pup, he can never replace my old best mate, but i can give a good home and a lot of training and love... love to all u mastiff guys n girls out there.
Getting a english mastiff in June can not wait for the lil guy to arrive. Right now we have 2 bernese mountain dogs. This is going to be so much fun. Loved the puppy he is so hansom
