    buy 8 if you wish to use a couple to mount chain to ceiling hooks.

    Nice explanation... very well done bud. I've got to get busy (now that deer season is over and before turkey opens) and put a swing on our back porch for my wife and I. I'm going to use your build for sure. Thank you for putting these very informative videos out.

    Thank you for your continued commentary on the swings. It would be so helpful to provide arm and arm support dimensions as you did with the seat.

      Forgive me , I thought I did. The armrest is 25" long and 4 1/4 wide. The upright support is 11 inches tall and 3.5 wide.
      I really need to get those plans done and available for you all. I'd like to include paper templates in said plans.

      The Y shaped upright is 5.5 wide and tapers down to 3.5 at base if you're doing cupholders.

      @thesheff79 I was referring to the paper templates, the video showing a breakdown of cross points would be sufficient.

    Wouldn't be hard to shim out your front eye 5/8" like you do on the inside of the back anchor point if wear on the finish is a concern.
