Steve thank you again for a superb video. I am blown away by the beautiful degree of trust you have always been able to develop with your falcons. Absolutely superb. I have never been able to reach that incredible level of trust and I get a leash on my birds as soon as they have broken in. I am using this material to try and illustrate to the boys (I run a schoolboy falconry club at Falcon College in Zimbabwe) the mentality they need to develop when their birds make a kill. They are often just too quick to try and rip their birds off a kill. Thank you Steve. I am as impressed as always. Beautiful birds, beautiful scenery, spectacular falconry!

I love your comment! It is a good thing to jess and leash your bird while it is eating on the kill. Especially in the early flights until you get to know and trust the bird.

What a treat to awake this morning to another of your beautiful videos on a day I anticipated nothing but contentious partisan politics coverage. I'm sad that your season at HOG is ending. Thanks for taking all the time to document and edit such gorgeous footage for us. I'm a real fan.

Btw, that was an excellent tutorial on making in to a Falcon on a kill. Having learned the technique from King👑 Frederick II in "De Arte Venandi Cum Avibus" or "The Art of Hunting with Birds", I'll want to research further in my own copy of that brilliant tome📖, any more useful techniques to help improve my practice of Falconry!🦅👑🙏🏞🕊

Well Mr. Chindgren I would say that if anyone in the world can make an observation about the boomers and the impact it has on breeding in the spring it’s you. I think the scientific community would be hard pressed to find a person with a more intimate knowledge of sage grouse than you . Great video keep them coming .

Tiercels fly better are less likely to intimidate the grouse so flights are much more exciting.
