there were rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo was gonna join Manchester city but he ended up joining back Manchester United, and Sir Alex Ferguson used to be the coach of manchester united back in the day when ronaldo still played there. And he always wanted ronaldo to join back to united to finish his career where it basically started.
Yeah and apparently he was supposed to go to Man City but sir Alex called him and changed his mind hence the “made that call like sir Alex did” (which personally I think is bs I think he was always gonna be coming to United)
