Holy fuck i swear watching this guy fighting is the most entertaining shit i've seen in all fighting games. That Reina match was so intense it truly felt like 2 warriors going at it.

Personally I think this games ranked point distribution system can use some work, because from what I’ve noticed it seems random. You win 10+ matches and barely get anywhere, lose 3 and you’re back where you started.
20:25 as a red ranked Yoshi I can answer that. Because in heat it's incredibly fast, really good damage and it throws off most opponents who are not familiar with Yoshi. Also since Yoshi does not have many good openers that can't be spotted from a mile away, you will see many Yoshis resort to grabbing especially considering how risky his tool kit is. Thank Namco for that. Edit: Aris is trying to tell everyone how good grabs are in T8 to rank up and since he plays Yoshi you can put the two and two together. Double edit: After the heat engager for all my Yoshi mains out there, even if they block your heat engage hold up to transition to Manji Dragonfly. You get a true 50/50 and you're welcome.
Yoshi main here. Which 50/50 do you prefer after the up, after the heat smash? If the opponent blocks, f1+2 wont work, 4 wont work and 1 wont work. Only 3 or 3+4 grab
21:30 : That's not the first time i see that interaction. It happened to me A LOT vs a friend who mains Lee. Not sure if it's intentional or not but there's no reason for the rage art to miss in that situation ... 😅
New to tekken and fighting games in general. Been playing Azucena and I really like her but I really want to play Lee as I think he is really cool and looks fun to play. I am discouraged because everyone says Lee is one of the hardest if not the hardest characters in the game. Should i give it a go or should I try to learn other characters/ stick with azucena for the time being
U should try him, it will take a lot of time and practice to be able to play him properly but u will improve a lot as he is very mechanic but he is very strong in t8 and also is really fun to play indeed 👌
Lee has a lot of technical stuff to learn so it depends on your goals and whether you want to learn a crazy amount of technical skill. He's definitely one of the biggest investment requirement characters, and frankly for a very long time you will lose to players you are better than just because you have drops they don't. Are you OK mentally handling that? It's also OK to play multiple characters so you can try different things and grow multiple skillsets as well. You don't have to hard commit to Lee or Azucena you can play both.
Man I hope they patch that ws2,3 heat burst combo, it's ridiculously inconsistent but it's so broken when it works. 95 damage off a i14 ws punish is insane lol
@irishpizza2823 maybe, but there are cases with some female characters where it will work just fine if you hit the ws2,3 in neutral, but it wont work if you duck a high in a string, but there are some strings you can duck and it works. It's all over the place, which makes me think it's unintentional
Heat engage into throw? I'm thinking because a lot of people ranking up will heat burst right after their opponents do a heat engage to take their turn back. Throws > heat burst
To answer your question- high ranking Yoshi’s do it because it’s the absolute LEAST televised option they have that’s fast and forces someone to guess. You never know which throw is going to come so ironically due to Yoshimitsu’s move set it’s the best option to go with
Funny how you pointed that thing out about the yoshimitsu players and grabbing all the time. I’ve noticed that too and I just do not understand whats going through their heads. Also that move at 23:09 they always bust that shit out in neutral ALWAYS
Yoshi player commented about alot of moves being unsave as a reason and partly difficulties opening people up. I dont play yoshi though. At least not yet.
How difficult is Lee really? I know he has perfect frame moves but are they essential? Are his combos hard? I know he can struggle against turtles sometimes. I was thinking of picking him up then this video drops….
He has a much lower entrance floor this game. Great tools. His frame perfect tools, which is probably just 2, aren't that essential to his play. His combos are rhythm-based so once you understand that the timing between the second and third B2 loops is delayed and the rest is constant, then you'll have it down eventually.
Man, I'm stuck in the Garyu rank. I'll win like 10 Straight and lose once, and lose all my progress gained with that one loss. Feel like it's bugged or something
@@theanti-hypemonitor9079 Yeah I am serious; he's mostly the same as in T7 with just some minor touches and sorry but his rage art here is not as classy as it was in T7. He's a legacy character but yet has no proper 1 or 2 command throws. Since he specialises in kicking he should have some leg throws like law and kunimitsu at least.
As much as I love watching you play. I don't enjoy these types of videos as much. Of course there's nothing you can do about it, because you're just the better player than them. But I love tough sets, they're so fun to watch. Thanks for the great content as always Main Man.
