Like all the new updates Shame videos won't come out very often, Would like to see more detail about that Williams by (bachmann) locomotive, And I like how on your HO layout you have a old Jupiter on the display track
Those LED shop lights are great. I use them in my stock room and previously had them magnetized to the ceiling in my steel storage container. So much light.
They are very nice. I do think they might actually be too much light for the camera to comfortably handle - I'm thinking about swapping them for two of the smaller light bars from the O scale room instead.
Thanks for the update Michael. An O gauge room aswell awesome. You can run live steam on O gauge you know😁 Oh and by the way the carpet actually looks quite like grass. I fitted RC to a new engine I got. Real easy. All I did was follow what you did with the one Terry got for me so thanks for that. A video now and then will be just fine. Dont leave it too long though👍
Glad to hear you made it safe! Take good care and I'm sure you'll gonna be okay with whatever life slides your way. I've heard Massachusetts is a very pretty state and I look forward to seeing your videos on some tourist railway, layouts, helicopters or new ways to hunt Smurfs in the near future! Be great man!
I purposely watched this video to note something from your 2-8-0 conversion to 2-6-2 video: My prototypes are all in my head. As long as it looks right it's prototypical for my railroad. And many scoff at it because of the fact that one engine I have spec'ed out is essentially an ACL-64 locomotive with worse teething trouble than it did set in the 1930's (technologically), the response to the British Mallard, and local (to me as it was built locally) GS-4, and other contemporary steam engines is a 4-8-6 that looks alot like a T1, diesels are few & far between, but those that exist look like a mix between a GP9, GP30, and a DB class 261, with the strongest of freight engines being a 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone, and the average steam engine type being a 2-8-2, or 2-10-0....and if y'all that was crazy, y'all should see the navy. Needless to say I don't care for the "prototype" It made the hobby insufferable, and so I choose to NOT rivet count anymore and have my own locomotives(which is actually how my fictional nation of Tarvala came to be...i wanted a 4-6-0 that was not spec'ed by any makers of the type at all, and now I have the spec's all I need is a sacrifice preferably in HO, 'cuz while I do run N scale, that scale is not to be modified, or weathered (unless from factory), to small, and to young (3rd week of October is when it turns a year old)...also welcome to the east coast. Don't come to Lima, Ohio expecting to see the ol' locomotive works, it's just a gravel lot now, and as such, is a disappointment.
Michael, what's your cat's name? Best of luck in New England. Keep the video's coming when you have time. I watch them while I'm running trains or working in the house.
Hey it's all good! At least you having a full time job will mean you'll earn more to spend on trains and such, you moved to a lovely state and you're back! That's all it matters! Best of luck to you in your new location and the future of this channel!!
First of all, that intro (more like first half of video) was amazing. The views, the music, *cat,* all of it was incredible. The O scale stuff looks really fun. It's been ages since I ran anything on FasTrack and I had forgotten how loud it was. Also it seems some problems never change. Your Williams 4-6-0 throws a traction tire, my 1948 Lionel 671 had one of its nickel rims come loose, same problem just with a different generation of trains. Also when I saw the thumbnail I thought this was an entirely different channel belonging to a friend of mine who I just saw today, so the "Moved to the East Coast" confused me until I realized it was actually you. Your new hairstyle makes you look almost exactly like him lol
Thanks so much! Fastrack is definitely loud - I won't be using it for the permanent layout. As for the stylish new look... I just desperately need a haircut, lol.
I really like the new set-up for the HO layout! It looks so old-time with the wooden walls behind it which really fits the theme well (since it’s a heritage line!) I do think the break in the backdrop due to the window looks a little odd, but there isn’t much you can do about that since wrapping the backdrop round the window wouldn’t work I’m guessing 😂. Looking forward to seeing the O Scale Layout!!! Also, are you still building your N Scale layout? I saw you post about it on the Facebook group ages ago but haven’t seen anything since
oooh! i cant wait to see the new layout! but, i do have two questions! do you have any plans to expand the original HO scale layout? am just a bit curious :3 and the other is do you plan to have a place to crawl into the middle of the O scale layout, or will there be a lifting section? since i figure you probably would need either of them to get into the middle-
1. The HO layout will probably stay as-is for a while, but I have toyed with the idea of adding a logging branch line along the wall, perhaps over the couches. Maybe eventually. 2. The O scale layout will have a hinged gate for access to the middle, similar to my old Red Oak HO layout.
@@michaelramsey81 1: interesting! well, whenever you end up doing this, if ever, ill be here to watch it! 2: makes sense! if you end up having it be like a life bridge, you could hide it decently well into the scenery!
I've actually sold 22 to a friend of mine, who is working on turning it into a model of a Pere Marquette 2-6-0. I might still try to build a model of 89, but I'll probably start with an IHC Mogul this time.
W&SC was in desperate times due to the snow storm in Baltimore sales went down so the ceo Michael purchased a empty plot of land in Massachusetts pulled up the rails and transported the engines on CSX freight line. It really was a sight to be held for the people fortunate enough to see it. Then the W&SC was meant with a delema. Ether cut corners or sell one of their engines. The CEO chose to sell engine number 22. Next restoration for the shay is now starting and a narrow gauge railway is in production.
Thanks! I'm definitely glad I sold my Mustang before moving here - it would not have appreciated the potholes. I bought a 2006 Camry instead, which handles them much better.
what a sweet kittie and what a sweet layout!!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓

Just saw this pop up after watching the 4-4-0 video. Super excited to see how this goes.

I've always modeled mostly fictional locomotives as well. Some of them take inspiration from various prototypes, but none are exact matches.

Glad you like the setup! Yes, the N scale layout is still in the works. It's not the top priority right now though.
@@michaelramsey81 cool! Can’t wait to see more!!

It's O72 (six foot diameter).

I was surprised to see that too, lol. That clip was actually filmed in Washington on the first day of the trip.

Not sure why but for some reason I thought you were gonna build both the o gauge layout and also a new ho layout
Did u fix the shay because the display track is now occupied by a old Bachmann 4-4-0
I have not fixed the Shay yet. It'll happen at some point. Too many projects going on right now. Right now it's still packed up from the move.
