Hi Carmel, I think her products are lovely. I was late to her game too, except I jumped on the Rouge Experience Lipsticks. I am often anti super hyped products for no good reason. Although her mascara is nice, it’s just not worth ordering from her site for me ( with shipping etc) unless I have to pick up something else. I do think her ashes of roses shade may have taken my top color shade over muse. The lipsticks are beautiful formulas, but I can find more affordable lipsticks with great formulas. I agree that it's worth the wait to watch and see what you know you will enjoy. I do love the velvets, but my most worn lipsticks are her luxurious lucent. I got the original foundation and I think the trick with it is to use very sparingly and build to your level. I really like the skintint and I am surprised not to see anyone mention her highlighter liquid. When mixed with the foundation, it's really lovely and feels great on my skin. I also really like the facial cleanser, not at all drying... I am 60, so that is important.

For the first 6 months after buying this foundation I didn't like. I felt it was too matt and felt difficult to work with. Hi Carmel. Thanks so much for doing this. I ordered the foundation and had ordered shade 9.5 but after getting it, I did not open it because I began to think that I was 9 or 7. We are pretty close shade twins so it was very nice to see you try shade 9. And I agree with your thought that just because you have an olive undertone, it does not mean your skin is super warm. Great job!
@@evonheffken6552 Hi Evon! I’m so glad it was helpful ☺️ If you’re a little lighter than me, then I would say the 9 could work. I would absolutely LOVE to hear your review on the foundation once you’ve tested it out! Will you come back & let me know? 🩷
Hi Carmel. Well, after I ordered shade 9.5, I got in touch with the LE team and they sent me a few swatch pictures. One of them contained shade 9 right next to shade 9.5. I did feel that shade 9.5 was quite a bit warmer than shade 9-and my undertone is not warm-so that definitely did not feel right for me. I, too, have a dryer skin type. I watched her ~30 minute video sort of explaining the foundation that was uploaded around when it first launched. One of the things that she mentioned was that a friend of hers with a dryer skin type likes to wear the Glossier future dew serum hybrid product underneath the foundation-I guess it makes a very nice combination & gives her a great finish. This is actually a product that I already own and have rarely used, so I have that in my arsenal if it feels a bit too matte/dry for me with just my normal skin care. I can certainly update you once I have tried it!

I couldn’t get on with the seamless skin Foundation no matter how much I wanted to love it. I found it made my skin feel and look very dry and accentuated texture.
