  • In this video, I want to explore the must-have kayak bass fishing tournament accessories and some that will make life a lot easier. I think it's almost impossible to include every bass fishing accessory for kayaks but this one will give you a solid foundation and list some items not found in other videos.

    I have a sit on top kayak. I purchased pool noodles and stuffed(crammed) as many as possible inside my kayak. Having a half water filled kayak is extremely hard to control. I also modified and installed a rear trolling motor. I’ve done everything and more stated in this video. Great advice.

    Chris great startup video on the must have’s I would recommend this in a kayak being the smallest object on the water, so I recommend you have plenty of illumination in the water green and red navigational lights as well light up the inside of your kayak great diy videos without punching any holes into your kayak? I even saw someone light up a pole with Christmas lights look! Safety first!!!!

    • @ReelTalkwithChris
      @ReelTalkwithChris  Месяц назад +1

      Thank you so much. I definitely believe in safety first. My tournament partner made an LED pole that you can see a mile away. I agree with you 100% that we should do everything we can to be visible on the water including additional lights, flags and headlamps. Not only are we one of the smallest vessels but we are also one of the lowest vessels in the water.

    OK You forgot one. I took my titanx out for the first time. A dadgum must have is someone to pedal for you. Massive learning experience for me. My legs are so sore they go in different directions one doesnt bend. The other just drags behind me. Lord have mercy. My butt muscles are so tight I could crack walnuts. I loved every minute of it. I will be buying a motor to help out asap though. No motor I highly suggest peadalling upstream so the wind/current can help bring you back. Not saying I did that but 4 miles down stream was a terrible lack of judgement in 15 mph winds.

    • @ReelTalkwithChris
      @ReelTalkwithChris  Месяц назад +1

      You got me in tears. You just gotta get used to pedaling. It takes a little time. The first time I went out with someone in my original Titan 12 I tried to keep up with them and that was a mistake. When your not used to going at a pace like that it will cramp you up. lol I'm probably going to get a motor next year. What kind do you think you will get?

      Thank you again. When picking out a kayak I always recommend getting to demo the kayak first. Don't just demo the kayak you want but demo kayaks in different price ranges. There are so many other factors to consider like what type of waters you will be fishing, the weight capacity, are you planning on putting a motor on it, your budget, will you be tournament fishing and how will you be transporting your kayak. Think about these questions and shoot me an email to reeltalkwc@gmail.com and I will help you out. If you don't want to send an email I can help you right here but there will be a lot of questions I have to ask and I don't want all your info out here. Either way I will help.

      Look up these two items on Amazon - Obcursco PWC Dock Lines Boat Dock Lines 1/2” x (7ft & 14ft) or Heavy Duty Float Rope for Kayak Tow Line, Anchor Marker Buoy. I bought these ropes over 3 years ago so they might not sell them anymore. For a tow rope I really like the second option because it has a float on it. Hope I was able to help.
