Gran Turismo 4 pal version is of 5.something GB(thus dual layer dics) and US version had 1080i HD support so its file size is going to be even more.

Because certain games such as Midnight Club 3 dub edition remix, God Of War both games have dual layer DVD which ps2's are not great at dealing with. So I got around such games by using free mcboot memory card and ssd(opl ps2).
