Such a beautiful film and even lovelier music. I'm a sucker for gorgeous soundtracks. The music reminds me of something Rachel Portman would write, example is 'The Story Of Grandmere' from the movie 'Chocolat'.

This was an excellent film, great for acting and period...I can't believe the score was not nominated for an academy in 2003, but "Finding Nemo" was nominated?????

An excellent piece of cinema, albeit that its pace is necessarily 'glacial'. That alone keeps it out of the mainstream. I wholly agree: the score is a superb complement.
