It was such a treat to see Tom Cavanagh on a DC tv show again. He brought that cool, crisp Reverse Flash energy (and even some snarky Harry Wells energy too). He was an excellent choice for Gordon Godfrey. Also surprising to see Milton Fine/Brainiac tonight. And now the writing is on the wall for a epic final battle between Superman and Lex Luthor in his war-suit. This is gonna be awesome.
But during the "panic attack" when his senses seemed enhanced, at one point the guy he Lex was looking at moved briefly at super speed. That led me to believe having Clark's heart made more sense, particularly if that was actually Lex's heart in the case that he destroyed in front of Jordan. Superman's heart would be too valuable for Lex to just dispose of it so easily.
The heartbeat we heard didn’t beat in threes like Superman’s. I think it was just a panic attack to show how he can’t handle not having control. Plus I don’t think he could possibly have recovered from a heart transplant so quickly, nor would he have taken the gamble to give up his own heart for an alien heart his body might not be able to handle.
The fact that Thawne, Harry, HR, Sherloque, Pariah, and Godfrey are doppelgangers of Harrison Wells and all played by the same actor within the Arrowverse is just insane
I don't think Lex Luthor would ever want powers, of any kind, kryptonian or not. He's so bias against every alien and meta-human, he'd never contaminate his body with Superman's heart, I think he acquired a human heart and stepped on that, to fool the inexperienced Jordan, who'd go tell Lois that there was no hope. Then he'd lock Clark's real heart away in a lead lined vault, placed on a pedestal. Lex is the type of person who'd want to rely on human technology, like Red Sun lights, a Kryptonite power core, sonic cannons, and lead gas grenades. All things that have been used in media against Superman, it was Batman who used them, but Lex can acquire the same weaponry, and attach it to a suit. A suit that could have a flame retardant purple paint job, and with all the weapons, it would probably need to be more bulky than Steel's suit with an extra layer of armor added on top, with a green lead paint job. I also think that Lex's panic attack was exactly that, a panic attack. He doesn't like people making a mess of his personal space, or touching his collection.
I think Milton’s “Keep telling yourself that” response to Amanda’s “I am in charge” is predictive of things to come. Milton thinks he’s smarter than everyone else; does he have plans to doublecross Luthor/Amanda and take over the suit for his own purposes? If Luthor’s weak point is fear of losing control, or thinking he’s losing control, I can see Milton (or perhaps technology John and Nat come up with), exploiting that to defeat him. I also think Milton and/or Luthor still have plans for Superman’s heart. In any case, what is the classic Brainiac but a Cyborg, so . . . I have to hold out hope, with Liam, that we’ll see some version of a Cyborg Superman-whether it’s a new creation of Brainiac or only Luthor in the suit posing as the world’s new Superman to replace the one the world can no longer trust.
Dr. Gorman's name came up in the conversation between John and Natalie. I think this is an easter egg related to Gus Gorman from Superman III played by Richard Pryor :) I also have a theory (of course I could be wrong) that Doomsday may still appear and help Superman in the fight against Luthor. Let me know what you think. Greetings from Krakow, Poland! :)
Hey Darth. What’s the wheat get like in Poland? Have snow coming in the uk. Did they say Gorman? I thought it was Corbin as in metallo bur I think yours makes more sense. I hope we do see doomsday/bizarro come back.
@@LegendsofPodcasting 100% Natalie says "Mr. Gorman". After this episode I truly think that was Clarks heart he crushed. If this wasn't the last season I believe it wouldn't be but as this is the last season I believe they've done it so the show ends with him no longer being superman. Also I'd find it funny if the glasses come back because he actually ends up needing them if he loses his powers
@LegendsofPodcasting hopefully they do a little flash forward in the last 5 to 10 minutes to show them all older and then we see Clark wearing his glasses again
From what I understand, Lois' surgery may be referring to the removal of the port they would have put in for her chemo treatment. Or maybe to remove the mass that has been treated? I'm not 100% sure of the timeline of how that all works, in this context or in real life. LEX DOESN'T HAVE SUPER POWERS! From what I saw, Luthor was having a panic attack, which is actually understandable. He's been isolated in prison for 17 years. While he's incredibly smart (and it appears he's someone who likes to plan for every potential eventuality if that little montage of him trying to work out all the angles he was surrounded by was any kind of sign), being in a situation with a bunch of people he doesn't know doing things he doesn't have control over obviously stressed him out. And the fact that it stressed him out seemed to spook him - I very much doubt Lex pre-prison had any anxiety issues...
I think the surgery referred to would be reconstructive surgery, now that there’s no sign of cancer and her skin and all is healed from the mastectomy.
@@kakcal2598 Possibly - I've had friends with breast cancer, but none close enough to learn the details of the process they went through. Terrifying stuff.
I don’t buy into the Lex has Superman heart thing. I think that was just showing us Lex having a panic attack. Also think about this if he had his heart in him why would he need a suit?
I have to say the romances in this show are quite weak. Does anyone really care about Jonathan and his girlfriend’s relationship or this random romance Lex has with his business partner? Don’t even get me started on Jordan and Sarah
@@kiaunasmith6141 I think they’ll be tempted to, and they’ll have to make a choice about trusting their father’s way of doing things and carrying on his legacy.
The casting of Tom Cavanagh for Glorious Godfrey was A-1. I think Lex body will have bad complications from having superman's heart. Now could the argument be made. The writers have taken a page from Superman 2. Where he temporarily gave up his powers? Just to see what being human was like. Now if we're going the possible Darkseid route. Could Amanda be Granny Goodness? Do we get a possible OP red and blue Superman with Jonathan and Jordan? Since they both got powers now.
5:30 A lot people didn’t notice that he did his classic comic book pose 🔥
Perfect pose!

When they mentioned Jamie Kennedy, I assumed it was just a reference to the actor from Scream. Just needed to name drop a celebrity in their world.

Plus all these strangers in his home, touching his things-he ants to control everything.
My guess for how they defeat Lex: A team up all 3 Super Kents, Nat and John with new suits, and Doomsday.

@LegendsofPodcasting same here. Its a shame as the show writers had actually planned for a total of 7 seasons
The spelling errors line was a nice nod to Superman: The Movie. That was the first time we saw that Lois couldn't spell worth a damn, lol.
Yeah they do that on the Dean Cain and Terri Hatcher show as well. Thank god she has spell check
