    The port call outs in the video starting at 1:36 are backwards.

    Finally i was looking into this nuc this morning, good overview.
    Are you planning to do extensive tests on this?

    Are there any fanless cases for that?

    I don't know why there's no access to the fan when you remove the lid for easy cleaning.

    € 899,00. Prima dacht ik, komt er nog VAT bij en shipping kost. € 1155,00 voor een standaard NUC pc 14. Als die onder de 1000 was oké maar dan wel met 32gb intern en een 1tb M2 ssd

      That's a bad move.

      Yes that is very bad.
      I just recently upgraded a laptop with the latest Intel WiFi-7 card. This Asus NUC cannot be upgraded.

      @@DerekDavis213The biggest issue is access to the fan. The motherboard has to be removed from the case to access the fan and that means disconnecting the wifi pigtails. I just used to remove the wifi card and leave the pigtails attached to the card. Those pigtails are not designed to mate several times so can become useless and the wifi connectors on the card/motherboard are easily damaged. The whole motherboard is useless if you damage a wifi card that's soldered.

      @@DoNotSayThree You make some good points. I wear glasses, and attaching those tiny antenna wires to the wifi card is difficult. And they are not really suited for multiple disconnections.
      And the tiny fan will eventually fail, if it is hard to access, then that's another *negative* .

      @@DerekDavis213 The fan needs to be cleaned once a year or your cpu temps will rise and it will sound like a plane taking off. These NUCs are already noisy, especially the i5 and i7 versions.

    Can any nuc support 6+ displays and 128GB ddr4 ram?

    • @richardinmontreal396
      @richardinmontreal396 4 месяца назад

      No, it uses DDR5, note those come in 4800MHz, 5200MHz and 5600MHz, I use the fastest one as it is just a few $ more. It supports 2x any of: 8G (x2=16), 12G (x2=24G), 16G (x2=23G which is what I get), and even 48G (x2=96G)
