I have used Lavender Essential Oil and Teatree oil in 2 of the African Black soap bars versions and its refreshing. Essential Oils have a tendency to fade as the soap cures but they still offer benefits to the soap. Good luck with your venture! I wish you nothing but positive vibes and prosperity! Thank you so much! I appreciate that! :) Yes, I added it as an additive. I used the soap calculator (soapcalc.net) for 45 ounces of soap and added the black soap as an additive. The black soap does not need to be saponified because it is already saponified and is a functioning soap on its own. Thank you so much for watching!

    Why are you still using lye if you are using the African black soap?

    • @NataciasSudznScents
      @NataciasSudznScents  4 месяца назад

      Because the African Black soap is an additive in the cold process soap. I am using African Black Soap as an additive like aloe vera or pumpkin powder. I don't need lye to saponify the African Black Soap but it is needed for the cold process soap that I am adding to it....the other oils and butters added to the recipe.

Lately, I want to do things for my family so I've started with doing body butter for my kids and adding black soap will be good. I started using the raw black soap for my kids after one of them got infected with molluscum contagiosum and it vanished after 1 month. It usually takes 6 months to 2 years to disappear and the black soap really helped so prioviding the measurements will help me to do it for them. Thanks a lot in advance.

      @@yodie5918 WOW! That is really incredible! Using African black soap "as is" will definitely be better than mixing it however, as you know it crumbles so that is why I wanted to use it as an additive in the soap. I really respect the process in making it. I have body butters also and it has changed how we moisturize our skin in my family. I definitely use a great amount of shea butter among other things. But I will definitely work on a measurements video and keep it basic so you can find ways to substitute local ingredients for the ones I use.I am so happy the soap worked for your kids! I know that here the African Black Soap is becoming popular again in addition to African liquid black soap (shower gel). I haven't researched that one yet. I appreciate your feedback and support. By the way, if you know of any vendors in Ghana that I can purchase shea butter and raw African Black Soap directly from let me know if you don't mind. I have some vendors that get their resources from Ghana here in New York, and I support them but it would be interesting to see how I can purchase direct from Ghana and support businesses there also. I have used Sodium Lactate which you probably already know is like a liquid salt or sodium salt to harden the loaf so it can un mold better in lye solution. Any sugar adds bubbles. Honey also works good for lather but it speeds up trace and tends to make the batter get hot pretty quick.

      @@papagato5148 I understand. Black soaps are very good but it's not something you should use everyday unless you have a good moisturizer. It can dry out your skin. But because the soap is made with all natural ingredients it's a good alternative to regular soaps that contain harsher detergent ingredients. If you buy some, try it out maybe once a week and gradually increase it to see how your skin reacts; or any natural soap for that matter. I definitely use black soap weekly, but I'm from New York (Bronx/Queens) so it was well known back in the days to use black soap to naturally clear up your skin and acne issues. Since making soap I have not purchased any store soap in years. My kids, mom and husband use the natural soaps I make. No skin complaints...a lot of skin ailment improvements though. I was hesitant with natural soaps in the past so I would use it on certain areas only to see how my skin reacted. It took awhile before I would use it on y face but eventually I did.

    • @NataciasSudznScents
      @NataciasSudznScents  Год назад +1

      @@papagato5148 Oh Ok. No I have not tried snake oil soap. But yes, some naturals are hard. I mean african black soap is a very hard soap, and it's a bit crumbly. Anything mass produced for profit without consideration for quality is will end up suffering for lack of quality...that can be anything, we see that with food all the time. That's why some mom and pop stores and restaurants are still preferred (food just taste better to me...lol). Over the years I just feel that our skin and I guess general health reacts better to products that have as little chemicals as possible and as much natural ingredients as possible. You can understand how a brick hard soap can be hard to market and sell to consumers. They think it will make their skin as hard as the soap. But my willingness to use and make natural soaps I feel was definitely culturally related. You are handed something that look strange, smell strange, or even taste strange by an elder but somehow it solves your issue or ailment can make you understand things that benefit us don't always come in pretty packages. I'm going to look up this snake oil soap bar. Is that naturally made? You know what ingredients are in it?
