Wish you lived in my area bro. I'd have you take a look @ my TMNT cabinet which is getting no sound. I guess I can try just swapping the speaker out as that's something low cost and not overly complicated. How hard is it to wire a speaker?

My speaker is bad …Is it ok to use a 500watt car audio speaker on my galaxian arcade game ?

Not sure if the audio amp on the PCB can drive that many watts. The manual states that the original speaker is a 6x9, 8Ω, 9W. Probably best to go with a replacement speaker that meets these specs from an arcade vendor. Here's a link to the speakers from one of our favorite vendors, Arcadeshop: bit.ly/as-speakers

I'm having a similar issue with my Arcade cabinet multi game machine. Is an Arcade game that I bought from China. It has 2100 in 1 PBC board. Anyway, I started having issues with the sound. At first it sounded like the speaker was starting to fail. It had a cracklyn noise, then it stop working all together. I contacted the manufacturer of my game, they told me that it might be the speaker, so they sent me two brand new speakers. I install one of the speakers, but I still have no sound. I noticed that when I plug my headphone jack to the sound jack on the board, I get sound, so the company rep told me that it couldn't be the board, since I was getting sound from the board's jack. So next, I replaced the speaker wires, to see if that was the cause, still no luck. I then tried to test the connectiviti on the Jamma harness pins, I can get beaping sound from it, although I am not an expert, I'm not sure if I tested the pins correctly. I resolder the wires to the sound pins on the Jamma harness, but I'm still having the same issue, at this point, I am stump, I don't no what else could be the problem? I even bought some brand new speakers and tried them as well, but the same problem, no sound. The funny thing is, that when I first tried the speaker that I bought, I had sound comimg from the games, but all of the sudden, it stop working. I should mention, that the speaker that I bought and installed at first, was a 50W speaker, meant to be use on cars, not arcade games. And the original speaker that came with my game, was a 5W speaker. I don't know if that makes any difference.
    Any ideas?

OK so this was really helpful but I have a further question: those white clips that form junctions in the wiring chain... How do I get the wire end out of those? Am I supposed to be able to do that? I think one of them is the wrong way around in my cabinet. The one with the set of four wires, for the speakers. I've tried the obvious: just pulling... Am I being too gentle? Should I use like plyers?
