I just remembered that I watched the anime years ago. I don't have any memories of the anime though, but I do remember a subway accident, demons (well, duh), and questionable phones. However, this ending was so good and impactful that it made me remember that this exists.
If you want to go through it you should try the game I recommend the 3ds remake "Record Breaker" since it adds an expansion of the story and voice acting.

As a anime it was decent the problem as an adaptation of the game it was pretty shitty, ignoring many game mechanics and story points not to mentio the lack of strong demons from everybody was kinda boring too
I love both the game and anime personally granted the game is hard because of some of the mechanics but it was still good. The anime is good for those who just want to know what Shin Megami Tensei is kind of about so they can get into it. But remember to play the Remakes they have voice actors and to play devil survivor overclocked before devil survivor 2 record breaker. Please don't compare the two, they are stand alone. They r both good. 😊

I just feel like the production of the animation could've been so much better and of course everyone understands how financial funding could have prevented the producers from making the anime longer, but they could have tried. The triangulum story, Joe and his hospitalized girlfriend, Fumi being possessed by the daemons, the mysterious red-headed-hat-wearing guy(Airi's dad), Hinako's dream to dance, and etc. All of this 'and more could should have been included'...but it wasn't. Which sucks, but at least there was the high quality,skilled animation and music!😌

Record breaker after True ending of main game
