- Enjoy this Cologne Germany travel vlog from spring 2019! I explored the Cologne Cathedral (Koln Dom), drank kolsch and ate Cologne food at a brauhaus (Fruh!!!), got a great panorama view from the Koln Triangle Tower & fell in love with this city. I also explain why I think Cologne isn't the most popular destination in Germany and share a bit of the city's tumultuous history from WWII.

Farina is the Original one. It’s still used by the Queen e.g. 4711 is the more commonly known one.
I'm glad you liked Cologne so much. It's my hometown. I would recommend you to be in Cologne when the Cologne lights are on. The largest synchronous fireworks in Europe. Currently it has been canceled for the last 2 years due to Corona, unfortunately also for this year.
Hi Lauren. I reside out here(Cologne) as an American citizen. Glad you had a chance too see the town where I live. As an American citizen its nice to live in liberal progressive town. Glad you enjoyed it. You was even in open to the food. The Hotel you stayed is where Michael Jackson used to stay whenever he performed in Cologne on his European tour. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice vlog. Your video makes me want to go back and experience more of Cologne since I didn't spend a whole lot of time there. As touristy as it sounds, the Hard Rock cafe was the highlight from my excursion. Always have to get a t-shirt. 😁

Oh man! I hated the white asparagus! I did my youth exchange about 40 minutes east of Cologne and my host family would cook the asparagus for most dinners when it was in season. I thought it was gross.
But I might have to try it again. My tastes have changed in the last 11 years. lol
That A5100 still looks amazing quality.... people are saying the canon m100 is better but I cant see it.. it has more features but not the same look. do you think this one shows more yellow/green colour than the canons basic profiles? .. thanks
When i visited the cathedral the Problem was.... There was No place to See the hole Thing it's to big. Nearby you See a small Part. Gärtner away other buildings are in the way ;(
Welcoming city is the right idea. We have our own culture and philosophy centered around accepting everybody like they are and having a beer together. Hence cologne is also the gay capital of germany (maybe even europe), while also being arch-catholic (actually besides rome and jerusalem one of the 3 holy cities of Catholicism). Cologne is colorful and the best time to come is during our fifth season of the year when we celebrate our street carnival
